INTRODUCING TERRA SQUARE EVENT SPACES One of the most exciting features in Terra Square will be the availability of thee unique event spaces that can be rented for a variety of public and private events such as weddings, parties, and corporate events. In total, there will be over 7,300 square feet in available rental space. BANQUET SPACE The primary venue area is roughly 4,200 square feet of repurposed industrial space with glazed brick walls, large metal-framed windows, and polished concrete floors. It is anticipated that this space will be rented by the community for wedding receptions, corporate events, and parties. It will likely accommodate up to 125 guests*. INDOOR MARKET SPACE In addition to the main event space, the 1,500 square foot indoor market area, which is attached to the main hall, will also be available for use on non-market days. This area could either be combined with the main Banquet Hall to create one large event space area, or it could be used separately for smaller, more intimate events such as a cocktail hour, birthday party or baby shower. The two spaces combined could accommodate events with up to 175 guests*. *Guest accommodation estimates are not yet finalized A new space that will be open to the public in June of 2017. Terra Square will feature several unique spaces and resources available to the Hudsonville community including a new home for the farmer’s market, a café/bistro or coffee shop, spaces available to rent for weddings and events, and a co-work area open to local entrepreneurs and small business owners. FARMERS MARKET First and foremost, Terra Square will serve as the new, permanent home for the Hudsonville Farmer’s Market. Terra Square will offer both indoor and outdoor market vendor space which will provide a more unique market experience and will also allow for a longer market season with more variety in products. OUTDOOR MARKET On market days, the Terra Square parking lot will be transformed into an outdoor farmer’s market venue buzzing with activity. Market goers will be able to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables under the shade and shelter of permanent outdoor canopy structures. INDOOR MARKET Inside Terra Square will be another 1,500 square feet of indoor market vendor space. During the summer months, the large garage doors to this space can be opened up to let the fresh air in. The indoor market space will also allow vendors to extend their season well into the wintertime, providing an incredible venue and experience for families to purchase their pumpkins, wreaths, Christmas trees, and other seasonal products. CAFÉ/BISTRO/COFFEE SHOP Terra Square will include space for at least one permanent food vendor. While no specific vendor or vendors have yet been identified, the ability to grab a bite to eat or a gourmet coffee at Terra Square will enhance the experience. The project team is actively seeking a quality café, bakery, or restaurant to operate out of approximately 1,400 square feet near the main entrance. The café would generally be open to the public throughout the week for breakfast, lunch, etc., as well as on market days to better serve the community. COURTYARD SPACE Another creative feature at Terra Square will be a 1,600 square foot outdoor courtyard that is accessible via the main banquet hall and from the outdoor farmer’s market. This cozy garden space can be utilized for outdoor eating during the day, or as accessory space during a nighttime wedding or party. It can also be rented out separately for a garden party, birthday party or other small gathering. MORE EVENT SPACE COWORK SPACE There is also an opportunity in Terra Square to create public office, conference room, and co-work space, which could be made available to community partners, residents, and entrepreneurs. This space will provide basic work-space amenities to users in need of flexible, off-site and on-the-go work space for conducting research, meetings, phone calls, etc. Co-work space “memberships” are even being explored for access on a more regular basis.
