    Methods & Machines of Printing

    1. Block or Stencil printing

It is the oldest technique of printing in which wooden ormetallic block build up into a complete design over thefabric area. Many separate blocks can be used for separate

color. In stencil printing, pieces of marked pattern is cut out of thepaper or metal sheet, this stencil sheet is laid on the fabricand colored paste is brushed or sprayed over it, a separatestencil can used for each color

Direct style: In direct style, dyes are printed directly at the requiredplace of the fabric with multicolored design.

Discharge Style: Fabric is first dyed and then printing with a pastecontaining a discharging agent ,thus white or colored effect can beproduce on colored ground.
