Intro.Intro.

For answers to any questions you may have about Porsche Classic genuine parts and repairs, please contact your Porsche Centre.

Over 70 percent of all Porsche vehicles ever built are still on the road today. We make sure it stays that way.

Porsche Classic genuine parts.

The aim of Porsche Classic is to maintain and care for historic Porsche vehicles for which standard

production was generally discontinued at least 10 years ago. These include legendary sports cars

such as the 356, 914, 959 and 911 (including Types 964 and 993), as well as all four and eight-

cylinder models such as the 924, 928, 944 and 968. The production and supply of Porsche Classic

genuine parts makes a vital contribution to retaining their appeal.

Approximately 35,000 parts and components at our state-of-the-art warehouse are ready for despatch

through our worldwide network directly to your Porsche Centre. We procure our genuine parts from

former parts suppliers or try to find new supply sources. Our work is based on original documentation,

technical drawings and detailed descriptions, a comprehensive store of samples and the expertise

of our staff.

Naturally, we ensure that Porsche standards are met in terms of technology, quality and safety –

even with new editions of parts. Porsche Classic is constantly endeavouring to close gaps in the

spare parts range by continuously monitoring, updating and expanding the inventory.

On the following pages, we present a selection of Porsche Classic genuine parts, product highlights

and new parts editions from the spare parts and accessories range. For some products we reveal to

you the exciting history behind the relevant production and test procedures. After all, each genuine

part has its own story to tell. With a happy ending, of course.

Almost a Porsche classic in itself, the three-spoke sports steering wheel has a diameter of 36 cm and comes in black leather with an embossed Porsche crest.

This rubber seal attaches between the front bumper, luggage compartment and wing, specifically on the Porsche 911 (1974 to 1989).

This maintenance set is intended for the regular care of engine types M28.50 and M28.49. It consists of eight spark plugs (part no. 99917018990), an oil filter (part no. 92810720105), a sealing ring (part no. 90012301130), an air cleaner cartridge (part no. 92811018503) and a filter cartridge (part no. 92811344500).

This air intake with clearing lamp is intended for use on the Porsche 993 (1994 to 1998).

The 85-litre plastic fuel tank for the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and 911 (1969 to 1973) is available again. The benefits compared with a steel tank: lower weight and a longer service life. In addition, it is ‘made in Germany’ by former production parts suppliers.

This toothed belt is used to drive the balance shafts. It is available for the Porsche 944 (1982 to 1991) and Porsche 968 (1992 to 1995).

It’s the finer details that make a true classic complete.

Our highlight: the original Porsche crest for the 356 and early 911 models.

Every Porsche embodies the fascinating appeal of the sports car, no matter how old it is. Even

down to the smallest detail. The Porsche crest, for example. As this is such an essential feature,

we’ve now launched a new edition of the original Porsche crest for your 356 and the early 911.

True to the colours, materials and details of the original and, of course, ‘made in Germany’.

Now for some background on its history: the Porsche crest has always been a clear reference

to the home of Porsche – Stuttgart. At its centre is the ‘Rössle’ (steed) of the official coat of

arms depicted along with the city’s name. These are surrounded by a composition of the state

colours, red and black, and the antlers from the Württemberg-Hohenzollern crest. Forming a

protective arch over the whole design is the Porsche logo. Incidentally, on the original crest

this was only embossed and not finished in black. Also, the red elements of the crest used to

be more orange – like the state colours of Württemberg-Hohenzollern.

A typical feature of these two Porsche crests: the distinctive red/orange colour. The Porsche lettering in the base colour gold uses broad lettering, while ‘Stuttgart’ is in raised letters on a recessed background. The powerful horse has a pronounced shoulder joint and a full tail.

The Porsche lettering features slim letters in black. ‘Stuttgart’ is in recessed letters. The colour on the Porsche crest is translucent red. The horse looks elegant.

The Porsche lettering glitters in gold. ‘Stuttgart’ is in raised letters on a recessed background. The colour used on the Porsche crest is bright translucent red, while the powerful horse has a full tail.

A product of truly supreme quality, 100% ‘made in Germany’.

The new edition Porsche crest is produced using special tools and based

on original drawings. Just like the original, it is silver and gold-plated.

The colour and enamelling are applied meticulously by hand. The new

edition of the ‘old’ Porsche crest also had to undergo the same quality

tests as all other genuine parts. This involved spending 240 hours in

the salt spray chamber at the Research and Development Centre in

Weissach, for example, and a stone impact simulation carried out at a

ballistic firing range. All of these challenging tests were passed with

flying colours.
