    Executive Summary

    I was lucky enough to avail this chance of acting as an enterprenuer at AHMAD TRADERS

    FAISAL TOWN (Tire & alloy rim) This duration of working as an enterprenuer was more than 1

    year from February 2011 to March 2012 . During the training i was introduced to the marketing,

    management, warehousing, inventory management and operatiosn department.

    The repot discusses the overview of my experience at AHMAD TRADERS. It illustrates the

    history of AHMAD TRADERS Company, its management and its chairman. List of products in

    which we deal and services is also mentioned in detail followed by a brief introduction to its

    departments. I have tried my level best to make the report comprehensive and elaborative. The

    sectioning of the report will pave the way to read and understand the report easily.The processes

    involved in the operation activities have been studied thoroughly and the things I have learned

    will enhance my capabilities and polish my managerial skills.The report is according to best of

    my perception and the knowledge

    gained via the book and the courses has been tried to be implemented in the due courses of the

    business affairs it will give a comprehensive sophisticated and elaborated way of judgment of

    specially SUPPLY CHAIN of the organization which the major subject of my Degree.

    Detail of my internship learning experience comes after that. It contains the information that I

    was able to gather and understand regarding the activities of the company. After that in the last

    portion of the report I have presented my humble recommendations for the improvements.

    Chapter No 1: Purpose of internship, why internship is important

    Purpose of Internship

    Internships can teach you more about what you do AND what you dont want to do.

    In general, an internship is thought of as a program which bridges of gaps between the

    academic environment and a future work environment.

    An internship is my best chance to test out potential career choices. Ill get real-life

    experience doing the work of an employee in an organization.

    An internship is developing a clear purpose of your career and helps you to learn many things

    that help you in future. Interning for an organization helps to learn how classroom knowledge applies to real

    situations and reinforces concepts taught in classes.

    Learning new skills in an internship can help you in future employment opportunities and

    might give you a leg up on your competition in future application processes.

    Importance of internship

    The benefit to completing an internship is the contacts we make. Networking is often one of

    the best ways to land a new job and a primary way to learn about unadvertised job opportunities.

    An internship will help me get a job after graduate. Employers seek job candidates with some

    types of experience. Internship builds my resume and increases my chance of getting hired later.

    An internship helps me develop professional skills and build a network of contracts. This will

    help me later when I begin my job search.

    Benefits of internship

    The opportunity or the best benefit I gain is test drive" a career (Would I be happier in

    marketing or Human resources? Am I more comfortable working with patients or in a lab?)

    The major benefit I get is gaining a "real world"perspective on an occupation (How much

    overtime do employees really work? How much time is spent behind a desk versus in the field?)

    Internship is a learning experienceInternship is a great way to learn the ropes so even if I find myself filing or making coffee, as

    long as I am learning about the field take advantage of the opportunity and dont take the

    experience lightly. Asking questions is one key to learning in an internship and keeping me

    flexible throughout the internship can open many doors.

    Main objectives of Internships

    The main objective is to allow the student to prepare for their future non-internship job by

    seeking potential places of employment, practicing resume and cover letter preparation, gaining

    reference, and interviewing if applicable. It also helps to develop an understanding of an

    organizations various management and technical skills, the communication techniques and thedecision-making process. It allows the intern to assume responsibilities of a non-intern staff

    member and be able to function with a minimum of supervision.

    changing procedure and providing quality goods with better service. Our mission is to set our

    operations around your needs, building a one to one relationship with each individual customer

    and tailoring our service according to your requirements.

    AHMAD TRADERS was founded by SHEIKH ARSLAN MASOOD in february 2011incorporated asa private limited organization. Deals in all type of alloy wheels & tires for

    commercial and passenger use including all brands domestic & foreign. As a corporate guiding

    principle, AHMAD TRADERS beleives in providing best of services and goods to theircustomers with truthful information. Their extra friendly activities keep their members and

    dealers cheerful and always ready to provide a helping hand.

    The main function of a sales department of AHMAD TRADERS is attracting and retaining

    customers. Many moving parts are tied to this but the number one objective is to attract and

    retain customers.

    In Ahmad Traders sales activities need to been co-ordinate i.e., to meet the customer

    demand with appropriate supply.

    Next is to increase the sales volume considering a particular period of time.

    Finally to find appropriate person/agencies to carry out the sales activities

    To help marketing department in meeting the sales volume forecasted by them.

    To give motivation by appropriate means to the sales persons and to give appropriate

    training to them in carrying out the sales activities successfully

    They analyze the demands of markets. They study the consumer's psychology, study

    market fluctuations, prepare sale budgets, explore new markets and the process begins

    again attract and retain customers, etc.

    Procurement Department

    Procurement department is responsible for the following four important tasks on daily basis

    One role of the purchasing department is to procure all of the customer demand froecasted

    brands. In Ahmad Traders, all the tire patterns of differentn brands are procured on weekly basis

    as the customer demand for the varies.

    A purchasing department in Ahmad traders is charged with continuously evaluating whether it is

    receiving these brands at the best possible price in order to maximize profitability

    Finance Department

    Finance Department in Ahmad Traders is basically works as Pillar of the organization. The

    activities expected from a finance department in Metro is to cover a wide range from basic

    bookkeeping to providing information to assisting managers in making strategic decisions.Finance department will be responsible for all the day to day transactional accounting for the

    business. This will include the tracking of all transactions and the management of any

    government reporting. The main function of finance department in metro is also responsible for

    management of the organizations cash flow and ensuring there are enough funds available to

    meet the day to day payments. This area also encompasses the credit and collections policies for

    Learning from Sales Department

    While working with sales department head KHAWAJA NADEEMI learn many different skills

    like; Contact customers and schedule meetings for the Sales Manager

    Learning from Procurement Department

    Working with procurement department I learned how each and everything should necessary andshould be purchased in best possible price in order to maximize profitability. While working and

    leading the procurement department I have handled all of the paperwork involved with

    purchasing and delivery of supplies and materials in order to make sure the timely delivery of

    material at production plant.

    Learning from Finance DepartmentAs working in AHMAD TRADERS this give a big advantage because I recall all my subjects

    during working as an enterprenuer. As I talked about Finance Department in which i also

    worked as a financial personnel in which i have learnt how to implement different financial tools.

    Fianc Department helps me how to keep Records of each and every purchase and sales forproofs. Finance department will be responsible for all the day to day transactional accounting for

    the business.

    Learning from Marketing DepartmentAs an enterprenuer I learned many things from different departments in an organization. The

    situations are not identical but little bit similar whatever we learned in our subjects. While

    working in marketing department with SHEIKH MASOOD-UL-HASSAN I have completed

    different assignments that are based on strategic, an analytical, and creativity. Working with

    marketing department this department will offers me many diverse disciplines such as

    advertising, branding, design as well as online skills and techniques, including website

    development, email marketing, blogging and public relations.

    Recommendation

    Here I am putting some suggestions, which will enable the

    company to compete with other companies more effectively andefficiently.

    1. It is observed that the employees were overburdened so they have to stay at company till

    late at night. In this way their efficiency is affected and hiring more employees can

    reduce their work.

    2. The employees or assistant should be signed jobs for specific period and then they should

    shift to other department so that they gain knowledge of other jobs.

    3. Their marketing department is quite weak Ahmad traders should properly advertise and

    communicate to public about the services provided by it, so that more customers will be

    attracted.

    4. Ahmad traders System and operations need to be more defined and organized.

    5. IT draw backs should be improved.
