Worksite The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialized agency that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving its 194 member states, FAO acts as a neutral forum where nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy. FAO is also a source of knowledge and information, and helps developing countries and countries in transition modernize and improve agriculture, forestry and fisheries practices, ensuring good nutrition and food security for all.

Sierra Leone’s National Sustainable Agriculture Development Plan 2009 – 2030 (NSADP), the five-

year (2009 – 2014)

Database for district level agricultural planning

Tasks

– Follow-up on the work of the previous volunteer and complete data entry phase programming;

– Review the current status of the Access database,– Assist in the design of suitable and user friendly reporting formats (soft copy and

hard copy utilization);– *Perform a dry run with existing district information from Sierra Leone;– *Contribute to the user guideline to implement and run the Access based

planning and monitoring tool.– Perform any additional tasks if required
