Some of the first exchange partnerships were established at IPAG in the early 1990s when the European Higher Education Area was in its infancy. Most of these partnerships are still active today and have evolved into deeper cooperation agreements including double degree programmes at both the Bachelor- and Master-level. The number of exchange partners has grown steadily over the past 20 years, from 25 in the early days, to well over 100 today.

These partnerships generate over 300 exchange places every year for students from over 35 countries and five continents. IPAG’s policy of nurturing its international relationships has resulted in close collaboration with its partners, leading not only to regular student exchanges, but also to exchanges of staff, faculty and research ideas. IPAG first signed the Erasmus charter in 1996 and successfully renewed the Erasmus+ charter in 2013, highlighting the quality of its international services and programmes.
