Torrente Vignone Law Firm has offices in both Milan and Savona.

It was set up by two lawyers, Grazia Torrente and Alessandra Vignone, who had previously worked

together in a team for many years in a leading international law firm

Over time the professional benefits of working together on a daily basis have been demonstrated by

the successful outcome of the cases handled, ranging from small to large scale and include multina-

tional companies operating in Italy.

which the Torrente Vignone Law Firm is founded, and this has always been evident in the work of

the two partners themselves.

Both lawyers are firmly convinced that a sound knowledge of the specific business sector of the

clients is essential in order to provide a satisfactory level of assistance.

This is accompanied by detailed legal and technical preparation, which is characteristic of a tradi-

THE PARTNERSThe firm’s partners are Grazia Torrente and Alessandra Vignone who both provide advice in litigation matters and also handle out of court matters,especially in the field of Civil Law, with a particular interest in Commercial law and Arbitration. Both lawyers have gained international legal experien-ce in France and the UK, where they worked for a leading London law firm. They both have firsthand experience of the decision making processes andthe commercial needs of a wide range of companies as a result of a number of secondments to multinational corporations.

Commercial Contracts.

Torrente Vignone provides assistance in commercial contract negotia-

tions for the production, sale and distribution of products and servi-

ces, agency and franchising, sponsoring deals, consultancy agree-

ments, tenders and facility management, general conditions applying

to the purchase of products and services, and software licensing

agreements.

In addition the firm can assist with the review of global agreements

drawn up according to the laws of different jurisdictions in order to

comply with the regulations and standards in Italy.

Legal proceedings, arbitrations and alternative dispute resolu-

tion.

We have considerable experience of commercial disputes and are able

to represent clients in all courts and tribunals in every district of Italy,

and where necessary engaging other colleagues in loco.

Torrente Vignone represents its clients in ad hoc and regulated dome-

stic arbitration procedures, international arbitrations at all the main

international bodies, including GAFTA-The Graine Feed & Trade

Association, as well as in mediations.

The two partners are both international arbitrators, and have been

admitted as fellows of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London

since 2008.

Recognition of foreign judgments, rulings, and foreign arbitra-

tion awards.

Torrente Vignone has particular experience in assisting individuals

and companies who have obtained judgments, arbitration awards, pay-

ment orders (including European Enforcement Order and European

Payment Orders)or other legal rulings under foreign jurisdictions to

obtain their recognition and enforcement in Italy.

More specifically the law firm deals with applications for enforcement

from the competent courts of Appeal in Italy and is able to handle

Real Estate.

purchase and renting of real estate in Italy and abroad and in any legal

proceedings in order to protect properties, including border disputes,

possession disputes, right of way/access disputes, including contracts

for leasing of commercial premises for foreign companies who wish

to set up offices or points of sale in Italy.

Torrente Vignone has a vast experience of road transport issues both

in Italy and abroad. It assists Italian and foreign shipping companies

The law firm prepares notifications of concentrations to the antitrust

authority (Autorità Garante per la Concorrenza ed il Mercato ) which

are necessary for proposed business operations that have annual tur-

novers above the limits for state tax, such as merger & acquisition

transactions, or branch leasing agreements or company acquisitions.

Moreover we provide advice as it is required or deal with communica-

ting directly with the governing body on behalf of the client.

Product Labelling.

Torrente Vignone specialises in the area of law which implements

European community directives and Italian law concerning the label-

ling of products.

Our experience is in the food industry in general, with particular refe-

rence to alcoholic beverages, textiles and cosmetics. In particular we

have dealt with the revision of artwork, product packaging, adverti-

sing story boards, providing advice concerning the legal requirements

concerning their content, symbols to be used, and suggesting, where

necessary, appropriate text to be included in order to comply with

Italian law.

Moreover we have links to many of the government ministries invol-

ved in matters regarding these products.

Financial Law.

The firm specialises in the financial services sector. In particular the

firm deals with extrajudicial matters in the area of brokerage princi-

pally for investment brokers and foreign companies which provide

investment services in Italy, either as a provider themselves or via a

branch. More specifically, the firm’s assistance includes advice on con-

tracts and ongoing advice including the management of relations with

the Bank of Italy and CONSOB related to the provision of inve-

stment services.

Torrente Vignone assists UCITS with regard to their commercializa-

tion in Italy, assisting with their registration and dealing with the rela-

ted contracts which arise in their dealings with their investors.

Secondment with the client.

The law firm is able to provide professional staff on secondment to

work in a client’s office for a temporary period as a special project

advisor or to assist in general corporate management.

Torrente Vignone provides training services which range from refre-
