International Congress on Chronobiology 7-1 1 September, 1997, Paris, France
The next International Congress on Chronobiology is to be held in Paris, France, on 7-1 1 September, 1997.
It will focus on significant advances in all aspects of biologic rhythms and their ap- plications, especially in clinical fields. The proposed topics will cover: molecular and cellular clock mechanisms, circadian oscillators and their regulation, circadian, ultradian and infradian rhythms, sleep wake cycle, desynchronisation (jet lag and shift work), melatonin and the pineal gland, development and aging, chronopharmacology, chronotoxicology, chronotherapeutics, rhythms in endocrine and neuroendocrine func- tions, rhythms in metabolic functions, cancer and chronotherapy of cancer, rhythms of systems and their therapeutics (gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, blood pressure and hy- pertension, renal, respiratory and immunoallergology, etc.).
The format of the congress will consist of symposia with invited lectures by lead- ing investigators in each session as well as short oral communications and poster ses- sions on original research in the field. The proceedings of the congress will be published by Elsevier.
