Social Studies Requirements

Each student will design a concept map identifying and describing a select animal & plant found in Southwest Asia (Middle East).

• Students will research their particular plant and animal and gather pertinent information about each.

• After completing the research, the students will create a Thinking Map containing the information found.  The Thinking Map should be placed on a poster.

maps on each side of the poster. One thinking map will be for the plant and the other for the animal.  

• A picture or illustration of the assigned animal and plant should be included on the poster. 

• Do not write sentences on your poster. • Only list facts of each plant and animal.
