February proved to be a heart-wrenching month for the MAPS family. Two of our stalwarts, namely Mrs. P. Singh and Mrs. Veena Agarwal both PGT (English), bid adieu leaving a huge void. Mrs. Priyamwada Singh, PGT (Eng.) has been one of the most valued teachers of MAPS. She had a remarkable, career spanning 25 years and 7 months – a period that witnessed her rise from AT to PGT and deservedly so! Mrs. P. Singh joined the school on 24th July 1990 as an Assistant Teacher. After her confirmation to the post a year later, she was promoted to TGT on 1st April 1993. Her undiluted efforts and dedication finally led to her promotion to the post of PGT on 1st Dec. 1997. Mam’s ability to quote reams of poetry and even lines from literature has been the envy of all and a mark of her inexhaustive memory. Her vast knowledge of English language and literature is legendary and her English is as impeccable as her manners and conduct. Mam symbolized on old world charm and a bygone era of gentility and nobility. She is credited for enhancing the English language skills of many-a-student. Mrs. Veena Aggarwal, who joined us on 10th July 1989 as A.T. English and served the institution for 27 years, deserves every word of appreciation. She was promoted to T.G.T. on 1st Feb. 1991 for her complete devotion, hardwork and in-depth subject knowledge. Never resting on her laurels, she continued with great zeal and was promoted to P.G.T. on 1st Feb. 1996. Success occurred to her due to continuous and committed love for work. Her confidence and approach towards every assigned work was exceptional and her trust in herself extraordinary. Ms. Veena made all the events’ celebration very easy and interesting through your excellent managerial skills and creativity. She was a perceptive, witty and a lively conversationalist and loved exploring different dimensions and mastering different skills. Her zest for life belied her age. She wore many hats-HOD, Activity Incharge, a public speaker par excellence, apart from being a great teacher. Her immense knowledge of languages like English and Sanskrit coupled with Maths was a surprise to all and exemplifies her versatility. You have molded the lives and careers of many-a-student and your teachings will forever be treasured. Thus, your

contribution to the field of education can not be negated. You are indeed, an inspiration to all!

Fare thee well! Good teachers like you Are the reason for Ordinary

students dreaming to do extraordinary things. Ms. P. Singh
