Yes.

cards, labels, hardware, peripherals, cataloguing

records and more can often be purchased at

reduced prices.


How can JASI benefit First Nation or Francophone libraries?

All JASI members including First Nation and

Francophone libraries can share unique

collections with other libraries who often aren’t

aware of these collections or have limited or no

access at all.


Do I need to be a cataloguing expert to join JASI?

No.

The JASI catalog provides access to thousands of

MARC records.

Simply add an item to an existing standardized

MARC record instead of creating or importing

MARC records.


Can JASI give me reports for my board or help with the annual survey?

Yes.

Creating reports is easier than ever before.

Create graphical reports for your board or

complete provincial surveys easily with report

What does it cost to join JASI?

Membership fees for libraries are annual and

based on population served.

Is my library eligible to join JASI?

Probably yes.

Membership in JASI is open to any non-

automated public library in Southern Ontario that

wishes to participate in addition to all Northern

Libraries.

Participation criteria includes full participation in

the Provincial Interloan system according to the

policy of the appropriate OPS agency. Each public

library that wishes to participate will be required to

enter into a contractual agreement with OLS-

North.


Will I have access to training and tech support after I join JASI?

Yes.

All JASI members have full support and training

provided by the JASI support team and ongoing

support and training whenever they need it.
