Integers
The positive numbers represent money in your pocket while the negative numbers represent money that you owe to someone.
When adding two amounts of money in both pockets (4 and 3), for example, the answer has to be a bigger number than each one and the result is a positive number. When adding two amounts of money that you owe (-3 and -8), the answer has to be negative.
Adding positive and negative numbers is like comparing what you have in your pocket and what you owe. If there is more money in your pocket than you owe the answer will be positive, (9-5= 4) If the money that owe is more than the money in your pocket then the answer will be negative (8-10= -2)

Integers can be represented on a number line
-Are to the right of zero -The sign for a positive integer is (+), however the sign is not always needed.For example: +5 is the same value as 5.
