Instructions for the First Pitch Baseline Machine • Insert legs and tighten leg knobs 1 . • Install ball tube 2 for proper size ball with knob 3 on top of skid plate. • Check tire pressure. (should be between 17 and 20 pounds of pressure.) • Adjust skid plate with power of. The distance between the skid plate and the tire’s pitching surface needs to be 1/4” to a 1/2” smaller than the ball’s diameter for a tight grip. • Adjust angle of pitch by using the tension lever 4 near the bottom. This is a ratchet type lever. To adjust the position of the lever, push with thumb on the screw and pull with fngers to release the ratchet. While the ratchet is released, rotate the lever to reposition • Adjust speed of pitch with the dial 5 on the front of the control box. • If you are having trouble getting distance or speed with your new machine, check the skid plate’s height to get a good pinch on the ball. Also, the tire is new and has a “shine” to it. Take some 60 grit sandpaper and scuf the shine of the tire. Periodically sand the tire AND the skid plate to prevent residue from building up. • Please note: When sliding the machine shaft into the base, align the fat area on the shaft with the hole for the knob. • Ifyouarehavingtroublegettingdistanceorspeedwithyournewmachine,checktheskidplate’sheighttogetagoodpinchontheball.Also,thetireisnewandhasa“shine”toit.Takesome60gritsandpaperandscufftheshineoffthetire.PeriodicallysandthetireANDtheskidplatetopreventresiduefrombuildingup.

• Please note:Whenslidingthemachineshaftintothebase,aligntheflatareaontheshaftwiththe hole for the knob.Tightentheknobtoholdmachinefromswiveling.
