Im Venita Brannigan and I will be your narrator for this training session. The North Carolina Central Cancer Registry has produced this training, along with the previous trainings, to guide you on how to use the new electronic reporting form for dermatology physician practices. 1Appendix AICD-9-CM Screening Codes for Casefinding

You are now entering Training Module: Appendix A which will provide the list of ICD-9-CM Screening Coded for Casefinding as identified in the Electronic Reporting for Dermatology Physician Practices training manual.

Please ensure you have your Electronic Reporting for Dermatology Physician Practices training manual open to Appendix A for a full view of the list or go to the SEER website notes in the previous module for a copy.

2Appendix A: ICD-9-CM CodesAppendix A: ICD-9-CM Screening Codes for Casefinding(Includes updates October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014)The following lists are intended to assist in identifying reportable neoplasms in casefinding sources that use ICD-9-CM* codes to codify the diagnoses. Revisions and updates to ICD-9-CM codes are released annually. This list should be reviewed annually and any changes made. Casefinding should include primary diagnoses and any subsequent or secondary diagnoses.

You can see by the screen shots that these lists identify the ICD-9-CM Codes for each diagnosis. These lists are used to help you find the reportable cancer cases in your records as discussed in the casefinding segment of this training.

You can also find updates to these codes by going to the SEER website noted in Module 11.4Appendix ACompleted
