Installation UNPACKING

UnpacktheRiceCookerimmediatelyafterreceipt.Ifthemachineisfoundtobedamaged,savethepackagingmaterialandcontactthecarrierwithinfifteen(15)daysofdelivery.ImmediatelycontactGlobeoryourlocaldealeroftheequipment.You have no recourse to damage after fifteen (15) days.

PROPER GROUNDING

THIS MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH A THREE-PRONG GROUNDING PLUG. THE OUTLET TO WHICH THIS PLUG IS CONNECTED MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. IF THE RECEPTACLE IS NOT THE PROPER GROUNDING TYPE, CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD GROUND PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD OR USE ANY ADAPTER PLUG (Fig. 5-1 and Fig. 5-2).

INSTALLATION

1. Readthismanualthoroughlybeforeinstallationandoperation.DONOTproceedwithinstallationand operationifyouhaveanyquestionsordonotunderstandanythinginthismanual.Contactyourlocal representativeorGlobefirst.

2. Removethericecookerfromthebox.Onceyourricecookerhasbeenremovedfromthe packaging,becertainthatallprotectiveplasticsandresiduesareremovedfromallsurfaces.

4. Inspectthericecookertoensureallpartshavebeenprovided.

3. Selectalocationforthericecookerthathasalevel,solid,nonskidsurfacethatisnonflammableandaway fromwaterhazardsorsinks,andisinawell-lightedworkareaawayfromchildrenandvisitors.

5. InstalltheRiceCookerinitslocationwithatleast4''betweentheapplianceandthewallsorotherobjects.

6. Properconnectionsandpowersupplyareessentialforefficientperformance.

ThisequipmentgetsEXTREMELYHOTsomakesureallflammable/combustiblematerialsaresetawayfromthisequipment.

Beforeoperatingricecooker,itshouldbecheckedtoseethatitissittinglevel.

NOTE: Always wipe down the outer surface of theinner pot before placing it inside the rice cooker. Anymoisture remaining on inner pot surface maycause a crackling noise while the unit is heatingup. Except for actual cooking area, keep allsurfaces dry to prevent damage to the innerworking of the appliance while it is in operation.

• Washinnerpotandlidinwarmsoapywater.Rinseanddrythoroughly.• Neverimmerseouterpotinwater.• Alwaysplaceinnerpotinsideouterbasebeforeplugginginthericecooker.• Whenplugginginthericecooker,alwaysbesurebasepotcontainswater.• Savetheseinstructionsandrefertothemoften.

Operating InstructionsUSE:

Thisapplianceisforcommercialuseonly.Itmaybepluggedintoastandardelectricaloutlet.Themeasuringcupprovidedisbasedon160g.

Beforeplacingtheinnerpotintothecooker,besuretheheatingplateandoutsidesurfaceoftheinnerpotarecleananddry.

Donotallowloosericeorfoodparticlestofallintothecooker.

Theinnerpotmustfitsnuglyontotheheatingplatetoensurepropercontactforcooking.Placedesiredamountofriceintotheinnerpot.

Addcoldwateruptotheexactlevelindicatedinsideoftheinnerpot.Seethebelowtablefortheproportionofrawricetowatertouse.Byaddingtoomuchwateryoumaycausetheunittoboilover.NOTE:AddmorewatertothebasewhenusingRiceCookerinhigheraltitudes.

Remarks: The above information is just for your reference. You can choose to add or reduce the water as per your demands for cooked rice. Higher altitudes may require more water for cooking.

Operating Instructions

1. Taste/hardnesswillvarydependingonthequality/typeofriceandlengthoftimeitiscooked.Fora softer,fluffierrice,addalittlemorewater;forfirmer,crunchierrice,addalittlelesswater.Youmayneedto experimenttosuityourtaste.

NOTE: Brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice and requires more water.

2. Placethelidonthericecooker.Plugitintoastandardelectricaloutlet.TheWARMindicatorlightwillcome on.Pushthe“ON”switchdownandtheCOOKindicatorlightwillcomeon.Asthericeexpandsandcooks, steamwillcomeoutoftheventinthelid.

DO NOT place the cooker directly under your cabinets.Slightspatteringisnormal.

NOTE:Cookingwillbeginonlywhenthe“ON”switchispusheddownandtheinnerpotisinpositionintheunit.

3. Whencookingisdone,thecookerwillautomaticallyswitchtoWARM(thewarmindicatorlightwillcomeon) andwillcontinueuntiltheunitisunplugged.Ricecanbekeptwarmforseveralhours.Forbestresults, letthecookedricesitfor15minutesbeforestirringorremoving.Thisallowsthesteamtofinishthecooking process.DonottrytopreventthecookerfromswitchingtotheWARMcycle.Donotimmediatelydepress theswitchagainafterithasbeguntheWARMcycle.

4. Fluffricewithaplasticorwoodutensilandmixiningredientssuchasmincedvegetables,ifdesired.

5. Whendone,unplugtheunit.Alwayscleanthecookerthoroughlyassoonaspossibleaftereachuse.

Asricecooks,athincrustmaydeveloponthebottomofthecookingbowl.Thiscrustischewyandmanypeopleenjoyeatingit.Withparboiledandbrownricethecrustmaybebrownedonthebottom.Thecrustcaneasilybepeeledoffanddiscarded,ifpreferred.

Usetheservingscoop(orawoodenspoonorpaddle)tostirandremoverice:Donotusemetalutensilsthatcanscratchordentthecookingbowl.
