• Write out all the steps before you start designing (one step per slide).
• Don’t assume that the user will have read through all the instructions before they begin the process.
• Start each step with a verb!• Put warnings before the step they’re
needed.
TIPS for Writing Instructions
Avoid overwriting.
Designing Your Slidecast
1. Understand what users need to see to successfully do the procedure.
2. Think about what style would work best: illustration or photograph.
3. Use clear graphics that really show the process at work.
4. If a photo, make sure it’s lit well!
