GIVE Yoga This gentle and light-hearted community class GIVE Yoga welcomes students of all experience levels. Students are encouraged to move slowly and compassionately through basic postures, modifying and exploring the use of props as needed. Workout attire is required Class Fee: Free

Environmental Education Environmental education teaches you how to learn about and investigate your environment and then make informed decisions about taking care of it. The class will get out and explore local ecology activities and might even decide to take action toward a specific environmental issue. Class Fee: Free

Music We’ll have a music therapist join you for a jam session. Eric Ahlteen specializes in interactive music, and will invite you to pick up an instrument and sing along. Class Fee: Free

Pour Painting Pour painting is a technique where acrylic paint is mixed with a pouring medium and then poured onto a surface in a variety ways. The result is a truly beautiful work of art. Your group will use this approach on canvas and furniture. Class Fee: $39.00

The Silver Screen Love action, comedy, romance? You’ll check out the latest movies at various theaters around Columbus. It’s a great way to get to know people and discover common interests. Class Fee: $60.00

North YMCA Enjoy the Pool, Fitness Center, and Gym at the North YMCA each week. This group will provide you the opportunity to shake those winter blues and stay fit! A waiver must be completed prior to 12/2. Workout attire is required Swimming attire is required Class Fee: $48.00

Computers & Social Media This class will help to build your foundation of basic computer skills, which can help you on your personal path to employment. You will be bale to work at your own pace on the skills you wish to improve. Also, learn how to safely navigate the internet in a way that protects you and your identity. Class Fee: Free

The Evolution of Disney Disney movies have been a part of our lives at every stage. This class will take a closer look at the movies we all know and love to see how they have changed over the years. Class Fee: Free

Jewelry Design & Glasswork This class will teach you how to make everything from beaded necklaces to glass fused earrings. You’ll have the opportunity to make some truly unique pieces and explore your creative side. Class Fee: $39.00

Self Advocacy Self-Advocacy is learning how to speak up for yourself, making your own decisions about your own life, learning how to get information so that you can understand things that are of interest to you, finding out who will support you in your journey, knowing your rights and responsibilities, problem solving, listening and learning, , and learning about self-determination. Class Fee: Free

Billiards Learn to play 8 ball and 9 ball at HP Lanes. If you already know how to play, this is your chance to perfect your skills. If you’re just starting out, our staff will teach you the rules and techniques of the game. Class Fee: $26.00

Blacksmithing 101 Your group will work with Adlai Stein, owner of Macabee Metals, every week at his new studio in Franklinton. You will learn the historic art of Blacksmithing, through hands on experience and instruction. Class Fee: $150.00 Closed Toe Shoes are required

Columbus Aquatic Center Shake those winter blues at the pool! You’ll spend the day at the Columbus Aquatics Center taking part in pool games or just taking a relaxing swim. It’s up to you! Swimming attire and towel required Class Fee: $13.00

Indoor Field Games Everything from Kickball to Dodgeball,. You’ll try out a different sport each week at the Adams Community center with their fitness director. Please make sure you wear comfortable clothes! Class Fee: Free

Creative Dance This class will provide you the opportunity to learn everything from line dances to ballroom dancing in one class. Wear comfortable shoes, and let loose on the dance floor! Class Fee: Free

Goodwill - Volunteer Goodwill works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential.You will get to volunteer your time with this wonderful company at their Morse Rd. location. A waiver must be completed prior to 12/5. Class Fee: Free

Painting & Drawing Studio art class experience focusing on drawing/painting from observation, exploration of materials, processes and the use of color. You will try your hand at all types of styles and techniques. Class Fee: $39.00

Chair Yoga & Guided Meditation A unique style of yoga that adapts positions and poses through creative use of a chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. Participants are able to warm up the body safely with more support and stability. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair can be used for support during standing poses. Class Fee: Free

Bowling League Join our ever growing Addventures Bowling league at HP Lanes! Each week you’ll team up for some friendly competition. The staff of HP will provide you with your weekly standings. Class Fee: $65.00

U-Fit Benefits of physical fitness include better health, greater strength, increased energy and a more positive attitude. You will go to a fitness studio with adap-tive equipment for all abilities and work with a personal trainer , or choose to participate in Therapeutic Yoga. A waiver must be completed prior to12/6. Workout attire is required Class Fee: $65.00

Hangin With The Guys Meet new friends and hang out with old ones in this class. You’ll check out the best spots in town, from the North High Brewery to COSI. Check out the attached sched-ule to see what you’ll be doing. Class Fee: $79.50

Breakdancing & Music Production Breakdancing focuses on creative self-expression and the celebration of music. You will take private breakdancing lessons at Flavor’d Flow studio with owner, James Alexander aka Bboy Osuga. Workout attire is required Class Fee: $39.00

Games And Beyond You’ll have the chance to play recreational board games, as well as competitive group tournaments. It’s completely up to you! A variety of new and old board games will be made available to you to choose from. Class Fee : Free

Ceramics In this class, you will learn basic hand-building and wheel throwing techniques at the Adams Community Center. You will learn and develop the basic skills of wedging, centering, and creating forms on the wheel. Other techniques covered will include pinch, coil, and slab constructing which are the basics for building both functional and sculptural work in clay. Class Fee: $26.00

Career Exploration Career Exploration is the process in which someone chooses an educational path, training or a job which fits their interests, skills and abilities. Find out what path you would like to start down, through experiential activities and behind the scenes tours. Class Fee: Free

Lifecare Alliance Meals-on-Wheels provides hot nutritious meals to older adults and chronically ill persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. Volunteer your time to reach out to those in need! Class Fee: Free

Ladies Day Out What could be more fun than a day of shopping, checking out great cafes, pampering yourself, and hanging with the girls? This class is a chance to build new friendships while hitting the town. Please see attached schedule to find out what exciting things you’ll be doing. Class Fee: $115.50

Tai Chi & Mindful Nutrition with Maggie Fekete An art embracing the mind, body and spirit – Originating in ancient China, tai chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body . This will allow you time to relax, and focus on your well being. After Tai Chi, you will take part in a mindful cooking class. A light snack will be provided during class Class Fee: $39.00

Mileage Club & Fitness Your group will track your miles and take part in a low impact workouts at the Franklin Park Adventure Center. This is great way to stay warm in the winter time! Class Fee: Free

It’s My Party This class will show you tips and tricks to becoming the ultimate party planner. From de cor to menus, you will learn how to put together an event for any occasion. Class Fee: Free

Rollhouse Entertainment Newly and completely remodeled, Rollhouse has amenities which include 28 lanes of bowling, an awesome game zone, and a huge laser tag arena. Each week you will get to do it all! Please bring extra money if you would like to buy lunch! Class Fee: $78.00

Get Fit Club All levels are welcome in this group fitness class. Each class will take place at the Franklin Park Adventure Center, which offers modifications to help you work at an intensity appropriate for your fitness abilities and goals. Workout attire is required Class Fee: Free

The Weekend Kickoff This group is the best way to kick off your weekend! From the Franklin Park Conservatory to Other World. Columbus is full of places to explore. Check out the attached schedule to see what you’ll be doing. Class Fee: $114.50

Basketball This is a great chance to get some exercise and have some fun at the Tuttle Recreation Center. You’ll learn the rules of the game, as well as, essential skills, such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Workout attire is required Class Fee : Free

Global Cultural Studies Culture is a term which encompasses the social behavior and norms found in human societies, as well as the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, customs, capabilities and habits of the individuals in these groups. Your class will take a closer look at the beautiful world around us. Class Fee: Free

The Art of Upcycling In this class you will be creating art by repurposing things that you may consider to be trash or no longer useable in their current form. You’ll work together with your group to create a new piece each week; making tables, chairs, mirrors, and more . Class Fee: Free

Open Art Studio This class allows you to express your creative sude in any way you would like. Try your hand at drawing, painting, mixed media, ceramics and more. You’ll have access to all of the options the art studio has to offer. Class Fee: Free

Benefits of Essential Oils You will learn about the benefits of essential oils and work together to create homemade products with them. You will make salt scrubs, lotions, candles and more! Class Fee: $39.00

Addventures Activity Funds Procedure

Effective Date: 11/7/14

Updated: 10/30/14

Title: Addventures Activity Funds Procedure

Purpose: The purpose for this procedure is to have a clear, effective, and agreed upon procedure for the

handling of Addventures Participant Funds.

Process:

1.Based upon activities selected by the participant, the Case Specialist will send notice to the participant’s contact with the

amount needed for the upcoming quarter.

2.Funds should be sent to Addventures, 742 Brooksedge Plaza Dr. Westerville, OH 43081 or hand delivered to

Addventures. Addventures’ Transportation Drivers are not permitted to deliver funds to Addventures on the behalf of

participants.

3.Checks and money orders must state the participant’s full name.

4.Funds must be received by the first day of the quarter. If funds are not received, the participant will be enrolled in a free

activity based on availability.

5.Receipt of payment will be provided upon request. If requested, receipts may be sent home with the participant or mailed to

the appropriate contact person.

6.Upon receiving the participant’s payment, it will be put into the participant’s Activity Account.

7.Case Specialist will withdraw activity fees from participant’s Addventures Daily Activity Funds Journal as activities occur.

a.If a participant is absent, funds will not be withdrawn

b. If a participant is placed in another group, funds will be withdrawn per that activity fee.

8.After the last day of the quarter, the participant’s contact will be notified of their account balance. Remaining funds may be

used towards the next quarter’s activities.

The funds Addventures agrees to hold will be used to pay for participant’s activities and items agreed upon in writing by the

participant’s team. These funds will not be used to purchase lunch, unless noted in writing. If not addressed in writing, lunches may

be purchased with extra money carried by the participant for that purpose. The participant will be responsible for this

money. Addventures will not be responsible for any additional funds not associated with the funds held in the participant’s

Activity Account.

Inclement Weather LEVEL 1 SNOW EMERGENCY

Addventures will be open and transportation will be running.

Addventures may choose to delay the start time. Tune into WBNS 10TV

News or contact the Transportation Coordinator at (614) 783-4132 for

current information.

LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY and LEVEL 3 SNOW EMERGENCY

Addventures will be closed.

Please note: Addventures will be unable to provide transportation in any county that is under a level 2 or 3 snow emergency.

Addventures Transportation Reminders

AM TRANSPORTATION TIMES:

Ensure you are ready for Addventures pick-up between

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM. The driver may call your home approximately

10 to 30 minutes prior to arrival. The driver may honk, one time, as

requested by you and/or your home. The driver will call your home

upon arrival, if you don’t come right out. The driver will wait 3

minutes after calling your home. If you do not come out of your home

within 3 minutes, the driver will leave the premises without you. If

you do not wish to be called, please notify your Case Specialist.

PM TRANSPORTATION TIMES:

You will be dropped off at home between 3:15 PM – 4:30 PM. If a

support person is needed and not visible, your driver will call your

home upon arrival. The driver will wait 3 minutes after calling your

home. If no one is available within 3 minutes, your driver will leave

the premises with you and bring you back to Addventures. Your

provider/natural support will be responsible for coordinating

transportation for you from Addventures.

Calling-Off

We look forward to seeing you each day and good attendance is important to your

success at Addventures. If something comes up and you can not attend, please

call-off no later than 8:30 AM. To call-off the day you will be absent, call our

Transportation Coordinator at 614-783-4132 and leave your first and last name

as well as the date you will be absent. Call-offs may be made as far in advance as

possible. To notify Addventures in advance, contact your Case Specialist via phone

or email.

Non-Medical Poor Attendance

If you are regularly absent for a non-medical reason, a team meeting will be held

to address the issue. If attendance continues to be poor, your schedule including

transportation trips may be reduced or discontinued in order to allow members

on our waiting list an opportunity to participate in classes and activities as well as

utilize transportation services.

Late Arrivals and Early Departures

If you plan to come in late or leave early, please notify the Transportation Coordinator at 614-783-4132. When you arrive at the center or before you leave for the day, make sure to complete the Addventures Sign-in and Sign-out Log located at the reception desk. No one should be dropped off for the day after 12:00 PM.

Hours of Operation:

Addventures is open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. No one should arrive before 9:30 AM or be picked up for the day after 3:00 PM as there will be no staff available to provide supervision.
