California landlords can’tdiscriminate against renters withhousing vouchers, new law says
Current law already bans landlords from discriminating against a tenantbased on his or her source of income. But landlords have to be willing torent a unit to a family or individual using a voucher. If accepted, thetenant’s program directly pays the landlord what the voucher covers, andthe renter pays the rest.
