This year we are celebrating
Osprey’s 30thanniversary. In
1974 , Osprey started as an
engineering and sales firm with a primary focus on the textile indu
stry. From the very
beginning, Osprey’s technolog
y was how we use air to transport material, and then
separate the air from the material to produ
ce a clean air environment.
In 1981, Osprey was the first to s
ell an innovative andspecially desig
ned rotary drum
filter to a diaper manufacturer in
Georgia. This filter replaced a bag filter tha
t was
working with a horizontal screen forming section. Th
e filter was aninstant success
and continues to be the industry
standard for process filtration. Since th
at time,
Osprey has designed, manufactured, a
nd installed more than 1,500 filters for the
textile, soft disposable, paper
, and plastics industry worldwide.
Over the yearswe added additional syst
ems to our customer focused product line.
Systems such as the patented Phoenix Filter,
Final Filtration, Fluff and SAP Separation
System are just a few of the new products that were first develo
ped and then applied
by Osprey.
Osprey merged with its sister company Barron Incorporated in 2002. This doubled
Osprey’s production facilities as we
ll as provided access to a newproduct line pr
imarily
focused on the plastic extrusion industry. We are excited about our new
opportunities
in this developingmarket.
Our commitment over the years has remained the same. Osprey Corp
oration stands
behind its systems 100 percent, and we accept complete project re
sponsibility from
concept through commissioning and training. We are confiden
t in the value of our
solid engineering, years of experie
nce, innovativeabilities, and the performance of our
equipment. Osprey remains keenly aw
are that our most important assets
are our people
and loyal customers.
We would like tothank our custo
mers and representatives for you
r trust and commitment
over the last thirty years. We are especiall
y proud that the average tenure for an
Osprey employee is overtwelve years. N
ow as in the past thirtyyears we are d
edicated
to improving and expanding ourproduct line in
order to meet the ever-changing
demands of the industries we serv
e.

The expansion of the Osprey “Quick Start” series ofprocess rotary drum filters dominates the headlines thisquarter.
Osprey now offers three different sizes of the patentedPhoenix technology designs and three sizes of the flat-floor economy designs. Each specific Quick Start model
is selected based on theapplication and industry.
The Osprey QSP 12, QSP18, and the QSP 24Phoenix-based filtersutilize nearly all of thefull-sized Phoenix filterfeatures. These designelements have madethe Osprey Phoenixfilter the recognized
industry standard for highperformance filtration for sanitary products. The threeQuick Start sizes cover an air volume range from 10,200M3/H to maximum of 40,000 M3/H.
The entire Quick Start filter package is completelyassembled on a robust structural channel base. All systemmotors and safety switches are machine-wired to apremium Osprey control panel. The total systemapproach enables each customer to roll the filter intoplace, connect the incoming process air duct, apply thedischarge ducting to the nozzle vacuum fan, bring three-phase power to the electrical panel and immediatelyoperate the system.
For our international customers, we have answeredthe question of appropriation of funds for the mechanicaland electrical installation cost in advance. Techniciansthoroughly test all Osprey Quick Start filters in our factorybefore shipment. This practice provides the added benefitof eliminating the Osprey supervision expenses for thefilter installation and commissioning.
We welcome your inquiries regarding this latest Ospreyfiltration development. Please contact our systems salesdepartment to get a Quick Start quote for your nextprocess air filtration requirement.

The Osprey 100 series scrapcompactor gives you the powerto convert your flexible poly-based scrap into manageableproduct.
The device can compress plasticand nonwoven trims and cutoutsinto rigid high bulk densitybricks that can easily be manuallyhandled or stacked. A customercan dispose of the bricks, burnthem for energy, or reprocessthe material.
An automatic trim pick-upsystem delivers scrap such asbag tails, leg cutouts, and edgetrim to the unit, which can alsobe hand fed as well. A vacuum
drawsmaterial into the compactingchamber, which then compressesthe waste into a 4-inch-by-4-inchbrick form with adjustablelengths. The unit then heats theouter surface of the material, which creates a thin rigid outershell that maintains the brick-like shape.
The compactor can be operatedin-line with an extrusion, bagging,or converting operation. Withone power connection and apneumatic attachment, the systemcan be ready to run in fiveminutes.
