KEYBOARD The most commonly used input device is

Keyboard. Key board is invented by Mr.Sholes. Normal keyboard contains 101 to 108 keys. Multimedia keyboard has 124 keys. Keyboard is logically divided into 3 parts.

Alphanumeric keys.Special keys.Functional keys.

MOUSE Mouse is also called as Pointing device. Mouse is invented by Douglas Engelbert at

the Stanford Research Institute. Mouse consists of 3 buttons.

Left button Right button & Scroller

There are two types of mouse. Optical mouse & Roller mouse

SCANNER Scanner is also an input device which is used

to scan the document & edit the same. Uses Scanner is a device which is used in nuclear

radiation , magnetic fields, sound waves or light to examine interior or exterior surfaces or tissues..

WEBCAM Webcam was first developed in Cambridge

University, Computer Science Department in 1991.

A webcam is a video camera which feeds its images in real time to a computer or computer network, often via USB, ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Their most popular use is the establishment of video links, permitting computers to act as videophones or video conference stations.

Other popular uses include security surveillance & computer vision.

microphone used as a telephone voice transmitter.

Microphones are used in many applications such as Telephones Tape recorders Hearing aids Speech recognition Motion pictures production Live & recorded audio engineering In computers for recording voice Megaphones In radio & television broadcasting
