BP 16 - What Have we Learned?•Too much secrecy is a problem!
•Active portfolio management is needed• Look at effects beyond current BP
•The EIT likes to review!• EIT hires its own experts
•Working with Word and Excel is not the way to go!
•Final budget is not revealed until very late (December!)
•EIT expects revisions at short notice…

BP 16 - What Have we Learned II?
• External reviewers seen as positive, hearings process less so
• Enforced budget cuts 10% is not something we should put into routine practice
• Relative weaknesses in project portfolio• Lack of links to Accelerator and Campus activities
• Knowledge triangle integration• More like H2020 in some cases
• Business case needs to be sharpened

Updates for IbI ProjectsInnovation by Ideas•Changes:
• Maximum 500 K Euro EIT KAVA per project• Funding for maximum of 12 months
• EIT KAVA must be used by end of 2017
•Stays the same:• Partners from at least 2 CLCs need to be involved• No thematic focus other than EIT Health’s strategic objectives• Can be led by any core or associate partner• At least one academic, and one non-academic partner
