Onset and Rhyme

-ink and -ing

I made these cards initially because I had a few children who really struggled with these two endings. The –nk and –ng sounds are tricky, because you don’t completely hear the ‘n’ in them.

Introducing the children to these different rhyming words helped so much, I decided to make other onset and rhyme sets.

I hope you find these cards and accompanying games useful, they save you some time, help you differentiate, and that children in your class find success in spelling using the onset and rhyme approach.
