Australia’s population is projected to increase to 36 million by 2050. This will place ever-increasing demands on infrastructure assets. The cost of congestion to the economy is estimated to be approximately $53.3bn on urban roads by 2031.

In response to this, the NSW Government is embarking on a significant program of major projects, including an estimated 40% uplift in spending on roads projects to 2017.

To receive funding, these projects are subjected to rigorous reviews and investment feasibility analysis. We guide project proponents through Infrastructure Australia’s Priority List, Major Project Facilitation, and multi-agency Gateway processes.

Infrastructure investment is the key to achieving Australia’s productivity growth imperative. This requires proactive and rigorous evaluation of investment choices, effective delivery of new projects and efficient management of existing assets.
