The School is also the only Irish School to hold both the AACSB (International) accreditation and the topEuropean accreditation, EQUIS. With our postgraduate college, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School ofBusiness, holding the prestigious AMBA accreditation, we are the only Business School in Ireland and one of asmall group of Schools worldwide to hold the ‘Triple Crown’ of Accreditation. The School is also a member ofsome key international networks such as PIM and GNAM and has fully subscribed to the United NationsPrinciples for Responsible Management Education.

RELEVANT DATES
Term Dates:The semester dates can be found onthe UCD Registry webpage
Nomination deadlines: 1st May for semester 1 and full year students and1st October for semester 2 students.
Application and registration: Online applicationinstructions are forwarded via e-mail to studentsupon receipt of the official nominations. Deadlineto complete the process will be approximatelytwo weeks after the nomination deadline.
Semester 1 Business module registration takesplace online in August.Semester 2 module registration takes place inDecember.
Orientation sessions:A Business orientation session as well as manyother activities and social events organised byUCD International Office take place during theweek before the start of each semester.
CREDITS AND GRADING
UCD uses the European Credit Transfer System.Undergraduate modules are worth 5ECTS credits each.A full semester workload is equivalent to 30ECTS credits. Students may choose from a range of over 50 modules.Further academic information can be found on UCDLochlann Quinn School webpage.
Examinations and UCD grading system: Examstake place at the end of each semester. Repeatexaminations are available at the end of thefollowing semester.

IT REQUIREMENTS
Lochlann Quinn School of Business operates acompulsory laptop policy. Further details areprovided upon application.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Language of instruction: English. Students are expected tohave adequate English language skills to follow lectures andtake examinations through English while in UCD. Englishlanguage guidelines can be found on the UCD Admissionswebpage.
English and other foreign language modules are offered byUCD Applied Language Centre. Each language module isworth 5ECTS credits.

LIVING IN IRELANDVISA AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS

HEALTH INSURANCE
EU Nationals in possession of the European HealthInsurance Card (EHIC) are entitled to public health servicesin Ireland. Non-EU students must obtain private healthinsurance before registration with the Irish ImmigrationAuthorities (GNIB). Please note - UCD doesn’t arrangehealth insurance for students. Further information can befound on the Health Insurance section on the UCDInternational Office webpage.
HOUSING
On campus accommodation is available at both theBelfield and Blackrock campus. UCD has set aside a largeproportion of on campus rooms for internationalstudents.
