Deliverables
The guidebook will be developed over three years. The plan for each year is as follows:
• 1st Edition: Introduction, WAN/FAN communications infrastructure and edge devices: Capabilities, properties, performance, and appropriate applications
• 2nd Edition: AMI communications networks, customer premises communications, work management, and substation communications: Capabilities, properties, performance, and appropriate applications.
• 3rd Edition: Interactions between higher layer protocols and communications infrastructure, reliability / redundancy techniques, updates to previous years as needed
