Who can go?

• All students (BA, MA, PhD) except from the first year students of BA studies, and the last year students of MA studies.

• Each student for 12 months at each level of studies.

• At each academic year you have a right to only one exchange and one internship, which cannot overlap.

• 36 months of Erasmus in total: exchange + internships.

• If a student were already at exchange and wants to go again at the same level, you can use just the remaining months:

E.g. A Master student spent 5 months on exchange during his 1st year. In the 2nd year he has 7 months to use for exchange and/or internship.

Who can go?

University rules for 2020/2021:

• You cannot apply for Erasmus exchange if on March 10th, 2020 you have more than one conditional pass.

• If you have one conditional pass, you can apply, but your application will be considered as the last one.

• Erasmus scholarship in the academic year 2020/2021 will be awarded to students with the average grade not lower than 3.49.

• Students with lower average grade may apply for exchange but they will not obtain the scholarship.

• Students from the third year of BA studies can apply for exchange in their first year of MA studies, preferably in the summer semester. They cannot start their exchange before they become Master students.

Who cannot go?

Students who are nominated for the exchange loose the right to go:

- if they failed the year and have to repeat it,

- if they have more than one conditional pass from the academic year 2019/2020,

- if they have a conditional pass and have the retake of a course in the semester in which they are supposed to be on the exchange,

- if they were nominated in their third year of BA studies but are not accepted for MA studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences,

- if they have another scholarship from the European Union which they do not want to give up.

You can quit at any moment, but it is better to do it earlier than later.

Where you can go?

• Agreements cover students’ exchange for one or two semesters on one or all levels of studies.

• All nominated students (for one or two semesters) will get the scholarship.

• Students nominated for one semester can apply for extension of the scholarship at the end of this semester.

• You can also go for exchanges using agreements of the Faculty of Management – but you will be last on their list.

• There will be additional rounds of recruitment – coordinated by IRO, not the faculty:

- with financing,

- if you are nominated in the first round you cannot apply for other rounds.

Where you should go? • You are going not for holidays but to study.

• Check the language level yourself.

• Look for universities with courses that are interesting for you.

• Check the key courses (e.g. https://www.wne.uw.edu.pl/pl/dla-studentow/poradnik-studenta/) in the semester for which you want to go for exchange and first of all look for their equivalents.

• This equivalence must be approved by the director of your studies or program.

• You do not need to worry about other courses. Choose whatever you find interesting (I must approve it) – but there is potential problem with elective courses.

• 70% of ECTS points from the exchange must be for economic courses.

• You must bring at least 20 ECTS points from one semester exchange and you must have 60 ECTS points from the whole year.

How to apply? dr Grzegorz Kula, [email protected]

• We will accept the applications for exchange from January 27th till February 20th.

• You will submit applications both on paper and in USOS.

• The application procedure basically remains the same as in previous years, but probably you will have to submit fewer paper documents and more on-line.

• You can find all relevant information on our Erasmus website: http://erasmus.wne.uw.edu.pl.

• The faculty will nominate students for exchange, but it is not equivalent with awarding them scholarships.

• We do not know how much money the university will receive. If not enough for all nominated students, the rector will introduce additional recruitment criteria.

• Before you depart you will have to write the language test in the language of studies of the host institution.
