About us Y.E.S. stands for Young Europe Society, which is a nongovernmental, non-profit organisation, established by young people with hands-on experience in volunteering in countries like Cameroon, Ghana, Republic of Moldova, and, of course, Romania. Y.E.S. aims to contribute to the development of the youths by inspiring them with a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance. It promotes mobility within and beyond Europe, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue. Our programmes are aimed at encouraging the employability and inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.

INFO PACK “Visual Facilitation in Youth Work”–KA1 Youth Mobility- Training Course

18-26 October 2015 – Homorod, (ROMANIA) Dear participants, I am proud to inform you that our project “Visual Facilitation in Youth Work” – KA1 Youth Mobility- Training Course, will take place between 18th-26th October 2015 in ROMANIA, Homorod.

About us Y.E.S. stands for Young Europe Society, which is a nongovernmental, non-profit organisation, established by young people with hands-on experience in volunteering in countries like Cameroon, Ghana, Republic of Moldova, and, of course, Romania. Y.E.S. aims to contribute to the development of the youths by inspiring them with a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance. It promotes mobility within and beyond Europe, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue. Our programmes are aimed at encouraging the employability and inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.

About our Visual Facilitation in Youth Work Visual facilitation is a method of using visual practices (like: drawings, create images, using colours, etc.) to support a group’s learning process and to lead groups towards a goal. Let’s discover the power of visual imagery as a facilitation method. Let’s build together a visual vocabulary and find out the application of mind mapping tool and Info Flow. You will improve skills and competences on how to use these tools in your own work.

GOAL

Our goal is to organise a training course between 18th-26th October 2015 in Homorod, Harghita County, Romania for 32 participants from 8 partner countries: Czech Republic, Cyprus, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia and Lithuania on how to apply visual facilitation techniques and methods in youth work activities.

As partner organization, we invite you to join us in all stages of the project: This comprises of: PREPARATION: you identify suitable participants (either from your own organisation or from your local partners and networks) and you support them for their active participation in the Training Course and the arrangement of travel, insurance and visa. IMPLEMENTATION: you stay in touch with your participants at all times. FOLLOW-UP: you make sure that the learning points and outcomes of the Training Course are transferred back to your organisation (e.g. via a report by the participants) and you make sure the learning points and outcomes of the Training Course are further multiplied and disseminated.

The participant profile

Partners from Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Cyprus are expected to provide the project with 4 participants, Slovakia and Romania with 7 participants. The age of participants should be over 18 years old.

Please invite all your participants to complete the following application form for the final selection: http://www.obcianskyspolok.org/vfywaf/. Please send us the list with participants until 26th of September 2015. Note: If you do not succeed in recruiting suitable participants for this project, the project coordinator will recruit replacement participants from your country on your behalf through platforms such Salto or Facebook groups. However, we hope that it will not be the case. Please let us know as soon as possible.

Accommodation and venue information: Our project will take place at Complex Homorod, Harghita County, 2 Stars Hotel. Check out the website: http://www.cazaretransilvania.ro/baile_homorod-cazare-motel_homorod-baile_homorod-hoteluri-vile-pensiuni.html#.VdAyjyyqqko. Baile Homorod is located at 36 km away from Miercurea Ciuc, in the heart of nature, surrounded by rivers, beautiful forest of pine, cedar and mineral water springs. There is plenty of space for organising outdoor activities, walks and trips in nature. The accommodation will be in shared rooms – 2/3 persons in one room, in an international mix. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, towels, wireless. We will provide accommodation between 18th-26th October 2015. If you wish to arrive there earlier or leave later you have to arrange this directly with the Hotel and cover the costs of the extra night/s.

How to get there From Bucharest International Airport we will organise one bus on 18th of October 2015. The bus will depart at 13:00 from Bucharest city and at 13:20 will arrive at the Bucharest Airport. We will send you more clear information regarding the exact place of departure in the near future. Important! Please group all your participants on one flight and make sure that the group arrives before 12:00 at the Bucharest Airport (Arrival to Homorod at about 4 pm). On the departure day, 26th of October we will arrange bus to get back to the airport. The journey from the airport to Homorod is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Note! There is Targu Mures Transilvania Airport, an airport situated at 112 km away from Homorod, the venue of the project. To arrive to Homorod from this airport by car/ bus/ train is less than 2 hours.

Weather conditions The average temperature in October is between 14-16 0C during the day and in the night hours the temperature is between 3-9 0C. Please check accuweather.com for more updated information about the weather. Dress Code: Casual, sport, waterproof jackets and comfortable shoes for indoor and outdoor activities

Cultural Night A mixed, enjoyable, cultural night is waiting for you! There will be many different countries and cultures. So be ready to stock yourself with cultural elements. To contribute to this night and present your culture, you can make some preparations. Get some cultural drinks and foods, prepare a cultural music and dance.

Currency in Romania The official currency is Romanian Leu (RON) 1 EURO is about 4.5 LEI.

Meals We will provide you with three meals/day and two coffee breaks. The meals will take into account all the participants dietary aspects such as allergies, intolerance and preferences. We will also have vegetarian and vegan menu.

Dietary/ Special requirements Please inform us as soon as possible if you have any dietary requirements or any other special requests. If you have allergies, please let us know.

Eligible transport Participants from Hungary, Italy, Turkey, Slovakia, Macedonia, Cyprus and Lithuania are entitled for reimbursement of travel costs according to Erasmus + travel distances, up to 275 EUR for round trip, based on relevant supporting documents. Participants from Romania re entitled to reimbursement of up to 180 EUR for round trip, based on relevant supporting documents. However, in order to receive this, there are a few rules you need to follow: Travel must be economy/2nd class for plane, train or bus ticket. Please travel the most economical way possible. No taxi costs will be refunded. Examples of ineligible transportation (priority boarding, business class tickets, plane tickets on longer routes and with stops for one night or more on the way, and other). ! Please consult us before buying your ticket so we can confirm you it is ok. For plane tickets reimbursements we require: • Electronic ticket (with the final price mentioned on it or invoice from the airline company/tourism agency

• Boarding passes • Payment confirmation (Bank extract in electronic -internet banking- or hard copy in case you have bought the ticket online. Print screens are not acceptable). Bus tickets Note: For all the online payments you will have to provide us with the Payment confirmation (Bank extracts in electronic -internet banking- or hard copy in case you have bought the ticket online. Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon FULL ATTENDANCE OF ALL SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES of the exchange programme and presentation of the original tickets with boarding passes and receipt/invoices. Any proposals of making the staying shorter or longer should be consulted with organizers. Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt/invoice. !!! Note: Please note if you bought your ticket in your local currency, we will calculate your travel costs according to the exchange rates from official European Commission website.
