Group Discussion Board (GDB)
Forum Forums contain threaded discussions about a particular topic
Thread The initial post and the entire series of replies to a post within a forum
PostAn entry within a thread or initial entry to start a thread. Also used as a verb to refer to the act of submitting a post

Current Discussion Forums
Create a new Forum
GDB > Add (New) Forum
Enter Forum Name
Forum Description goes here
(1) Keep default settings and submit to complete Forum set-up
GDB > Inside a Forum
(a) Click on Thread to create a new discussion, or
(b) Click on the title of a current topic and join discussion
GDB > Inside a threaded discussion
Collect
To view all or selected posts in a thread, check boxes and click on Collect,
or click on Next Post

Group Discussion Board manage / share resources found during the research process
(doesn’t clog personal email account)
comment /share research activities (demonstrates group’s research process, progress and cognitive activities)
Collaboration > Chat real-time virtual meeting ideal for when all members cannot meet face-to-face for a meeting
File Exchange manage / share documents, drafts, edits, etc.
(enumerate each version of a document; e.g. Introduction 1.0, 2.0, etc) Archive project's timeline, individuals roles, meeting minutes, etc.
Email Guarantees all members receive the messages / attached documents Guarantees all members receive the messages regarding project’s progress, scheduling, etc.
