Introduction :>>>>

A public Limited company established 17 years ago in 1991. They are the pioneers in

India in manufacturing of CFL in India, started commercial production in 1992

We visited autopal industry on 5 December. 2009. It was amazing to see that area of manufacturing auto parts.

Aim :>>>>>

Our aim was to collect knowledge about these types of industries.

Abstract :>>>>>

When we reached there, we saw that there was a big industry. Our group of student went to a big hall where the outer parts of automobile’s light were being constructed.

The raw materials were the iron sheets, etc. they were being cut in different shapes according to needs. After cutting the material, they gave them some types of numbers.

We saw that on the reflectors got some notifications on them, which were given by engineers. One of them is MFR means Multi Face Reflector.

Then they did welding called spot welding on the reflectors.

After welding, they used many processes on the item which are given below:-

Power coating.Buffing.Ultra sonic pining.

{To remove Greece by dipping in Tri Chloro Ethene}

Phosphating.{To make rusting late}

Laker{A brown colored liquid to polish the reflector}

Matelizing.

{To make it’s surface more shining}

There were 5 zones of different temperatures.

I. 160ocII. 190oc

III. 220ocIV. 190ocV. 160oc

Viscosity = 25-30 second. Flush time = 10-20 minutes. Banking time = 30-45

minutes.

Then they did TOP COATING of silver color. We felt the smell of nail polish in that room. It was the zinc coating.

The process parameters are:-

Ph = 5 to 6 Electricity = 50 Amp.

Voltage = 8-10 volt Dip time = 30 minutes

After this process they did pacivation for different colors white, silver, green etc.

Then we reached on assembling. It was Matelizing on laker side.

After it they used a machine which coated the laker side by aluminum vapour. 20 mpm current was used in it. Then we went to the other side (zone 6) which was of HOTMELT MIC MATERIAL.There was a robot that was doing some operations like sealing on edge, adapter fixing, adjust leus etc.

After visiting there we went to the next zone which name was PLASTIC RIM DESIGN ZONE.

The process is shown below:-

Plastic material (In heater) filled in cavity Water cooling Product.

That was the last zone which we visited.
