    Indoor Cell PlanningStockholm: 2015-04-28 - 2015-04-30 Duration: 3 daysFee: 2,410

PRICE:The price for a single seat for this course is ?2 410 (excl. VAT). We offer substantial discounts for group bookings of 2 seats or more, and we have corporate rates with most of the large mobile operators and equipment suppliers in the world. To find out if you quality for discounts or corporate rates, alternatively if you would like a quotation for an in-house delivery, please contact Apis sales.

CONTENTS:This three-day course provides participants with strong insights of planning and dimensioning of in-building solutions. It covers the aspects of GSM and UMTS/eHSPA networks. The course starts with a review of the planning process, requirements and motivation for indoor design. After this part, participants should be able to define the indoor planning design criteria. The engineering part of the course covers all the issues related to propagation and capacity theory, traffic modelling, electromagnetic radiation safety and repeater design. Throughout this part participants will also be guided into practical exercises to better understand the indoor environment losses and propagation. Before digging into a design use-case, participants will be presented with specific components used indoor, difference between passive and active DAS, radiating cable solutions and component?s radio characteristics. In the Indoor Design Case chapter participants will be challenged to develop their own project, applying the knowledge obtained in previous chapters. . The remainder focuses on optimization issues including radio parameters settings, troubleshooting, solutions and surveys.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:This course is focused on planning indoor coverage solutions for GSM and UMTS/eHSPA networks. It is targeted at operators eager to improve network performance by means of adding effective indoor sites in hotspots and gold corporate customers.

PREREQUISITES:Participants must hold basic knowledge of GSM and UMTS network architecture so as to know basic practical aspects of implementing and optimizing indoor systems. Some background in Mathematics, Statistical Analysis, RF Systems Design and Digital Communication is also a must have. Previous knowledge of planning and optimization of GSM and UMTS networks is beneficial but not essential.
