On Friday 13 December (TOMORROW) our students are participating in our school Positive

Behaviour for Learning (PBL) end of year reward day at the Cessnock PCYC. All students who have

met the requirements of their Kooka contracts for the whole year are invited to attend. Families of the

children who are ineligible to attend will be notified. A permission note was sent home last week.

Students are to bring a packed lunch and recess with plenty of water. We are looking forward to a

highly enjoyable day!

PCYC Reward Day

The last day for canteen in 2019 is TODAY! Students who are not attending the PCYC PBL day are to

bring a packed lunch and recess to school with them as the canteen will not be open. Thanks for your

support!

CANTEEN CLOSED ON FRIDAY 13 DECEMBER

Kooka Badges

Thank you to Our P & C

Students who have had their Kooka contracts signed off will be presented with their badge tomorrow

after they return from their PCYC reward day, at a small assembly by their classroom

teachers. Congratulations to all the students who have been working to their personal best all year!

Our P& C is a small but dedicated, hard

working group of parents who go above and

beyond for our students. Each year they

raise money which is then donated directly

to our school to provide extra opportunities

for our students. This year the P&C have

donated over $20,000 back to the school

and community. This has included

purchasing new iPads, laptops and netball

uniforms, as well as readers for our

Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students.

The P & C have provided funding for transport to our school camps and movie night. Our school would

not be what it is without their amazing support! A sincere THANK YOU from staff and students!

P&C News Term 4 is rapidly coming to a close. I would like to take this

opportunity to thank all of our P&C and canteen volunteers for 2019.

You have all contributed to our school and the students have benefited

from it greatly. Good things happen when we work as a team!

The P&C Christmas raffle was drawn at school presentation,

congratulations to the winners! Thank you to all who have supported

this.

Our school shirts and school jackets can still be pre-ordered with

payment through the canteen (correct money would be appreciated) on

Monday and Wednesday mornings between 9am – 10am. Our shirt

price is $23, while our jacket price is $34 and school hats can be

purchased for $14. School winter beanies can also be ordered with

payment through the canteen. Our beanies are $10.

If you are considering helping out in the canteen next year, please

contact Sammi Edwards 0403 724 754 as soon as possible.

Our next P&C meeting will take place on Thursday 6th February 2020

at 1.30pm in the school library. We will not be holding one in

December. Please come along. It’s a great opportunity to find out what

is actually happening within your child’s school and to have some

input into what you would like to see taking place. Everyone is welcome.

Merry Christmas to all and have a happy and safe new year.
