EDITORIAL

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the second issue of ‘Link’ 2018-20, the newsletter of ISTD Pune Chapter.

This issue of Link would include the happenings in the second quarter at Pune Chapter, i. e. from July 2018 to September 2018.

The quarter was eventful with three Evening Programmes, One Open Programme, ISTD Diploma new Batch (Batch 79) inauguration and Contact Classes, MoU with Vishwakarma University etc.

Pune Chapter is happy to announce six certificate courses in Training and Development. The details are given in this issue.

Link invites all the members and non members to contribute to Link in any form like article, research paper, conference information, quiz, cartoons etc., related to training and development, achievements of members etc. Below provides the guidelines for submitting articles/ papers/ write ups for Link.

MESSAGE FROM ISTD DIPLOMA INCHARGE

Hello friends,

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that we got an amazing response for our ‘Diploma

Program in Training and Development’. We have 32 students in batch 79!

This just re-enforces our belief that Diploma is a huge value addition to anybody who is

looking at a career in learning and development.

The results of earlier batches are very impressive and our students have passed with flying

colors indicative of the fantastic job done by our faculty at Pune Centre!

The students as well as the faculty are very pleased with the new venue of the contact

classes. The contact classes are now held at Amity Global Business School, next to

Chaturshringi Temple, Senapati Bapat road, Pune. The ambience, central location and

facilities of the venue are appreciated by all.

The next batch will be starting soon and admissions will open in December, 2018. I implore

you to take advantage of this highly successful, prestigious, re-vamped and practical

Diploma. I would also request you to recommend this diploma to your friends, family and

colleagues.

Chairpersons’ Meet at Kolkatta

With the objective of Goal setting, ISTD had organzied Chairpersons’ Meet at Kolkatta on

22nd

July, 2018. Chairperson of Pune Chapter Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar attended and set and

presented the goals for Pune Chapter and participated on the goal setting of Western

Region.

‘Link’; the Quarterly Newsletter (April 2018 To June 2018) of Pune Chapter was released on

July 27, 2018 at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

Monthly Evening Programme

• The Evening Program of July took place on 27th

July, 2018 on the topic ‘Management Films’ at

Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

• Evening Program of Pune Chapter took place at Amity Global Business School on August 20,

2018 on the topic ‘Career Concepts in 21st

Century. The faculty was Dr. Surojit Saha, Global

Executive and Career Coach.

• ISTD Pune Chapter Evening Program on September 27 at Maharashtra College of Science and

Commerce, (For Faculties) on ‘Managing Stress for Happiness’. Faculty – Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar

An Open Program of Pune Chapter on ‘ Management Games conducted with Neville Wadia

Institute of Management Studies and Research, Pune on 29th

July 2018. Various Faculties

including Directors of Management institutes, Officers from Private sector, MBA students attended

PROGRAMS

ISTD Pune Chapter conducted half day session on ‘ Management Games’ for the MBA students of

Modern College of Engineering; MBA Department, on August 2, 2018, at their Induction Program .

Dr. S.G. Bapat and Mr. Ravi Baviskar were the faculties.

� Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar was invited to conduct A certificate Programme ‘Lab In Training’

by Modern College of Engineering; MBA Department for their HR special students.

This was an ‘add on course’ of SPPU. It started on August 6 and concluded on

September 10, 2018. The evaluation and tests would be in October. Certificates of

participation were given to 9 regular students in the October evening program

(October 20, 2018) of Pune Chapter.

ISTD Diploma Batch Inauguration

ISTD Diploma Batch 79 was inaugurated on September 8, 2018. Enrollment is 32 students. The

students are the training executives, HR and Training Managers, Free Lance Trainers etc. Dr. Sunil

Dhapte, the Director, SIUD & MDC YASHADA was the chief guest at the inaugural session. Contact

Classes for batch 78 and 79 were conducted on September 8 & 9.
