EMOLUMENTS

• As trainees at IMA or OTA, the Gentlemen Cadets receive Rs

21,000/- per month as stipend during the training period.

• An officer on commissioning receives about Rs 45,000/- as

salary.

• If posted to field areas, the take-home salary can increase

to about Rs 65,000/-.

• Within 13 years of service, officers are placed in the Pay

band – 4 which is the highest salary slab of the Central Govt.

After implementation of the 6th Pay Commission,

the pay packet of the Army Officers have been increased

substantially and now almost matches those of the

corporate salaries.
