3 Corbett Museum

In 1915, Jim Corbett bought asmall hamlet of 221 acres in theKumaon hills for a sum of fifteenhundred rupees, where he installedsome 40 tenants and planned amodel village, Chhoti Haldwani, onthe outskirts of Kaladhungi, half waybetween the park and Nainital. The

house here where he lived in winter isnow known as the Corbett Museum. Housed in theerstwhile bungalow of Jim Corbett, therenowned environmentalist as well as afront runner in the tiger conservation effortsin India, this museum is nestled in the calmsurroundings. 

This magnificent and spectacular museumbrings the memory of the life and activitiesof the distinguished people in the jungle ofthe Kumaon hills.
