There are a number of problems in our society & country . We talk about bigger problems but we often forget about the crucial day to day problems around us … our school was facing discipline problem …but the cause was a little different…

There was a discipline problem during the rainy & summer season due to the restricted movement of students during the recess , activity & games period because of the scorching sun / heavy rain …probably they became restless & got bored of sitting in the classroom …as there was no excitement & enjoyment….

We discussed it with our teachers …they suggested many conventional ideas like student prefects to monitor the students …they can force students to be quiet but not engage them for constructive learning …

And then one day our mentor teacher came across a book called BaLA …Building as a Learning Aid…It had beautiful ideas for creating learning on the school walls & floor …We thought this idea can meaningfully engage students …lets try it out…

We painted the walls , floor ,furniture , pillars ….for creating resources for learning…The floor, the columns and the walls are now painted in such a way that students can play and learn in their own way. Also they could spend quality time.

What did we do ?

BaLA has changed our way of thinking

…we have understood that nothing is

impossible when we work as team…

Bigger the team , bigger the dream !!!

Last but not the least we learnt that

innovation & creativity is not a rule or

lesson…it is about trying new ideas…

The essential part of creativity is not being

afraid to fail…after all life is about

experimenting new ideas …
