USING MIND POWER A very powerful tool developed by John Diamond, M.D., will allow us to understand and utilize our internal powers. Diamond calls it behavioral kinesiology. I call it body talk. Body talk is based on the concept that everyone and everything in our external and internal environment measurably affects us. Dr. Diamond says that it is possible to determine these effects immediately by testing muscle resistance. We can use this test to demonstrate that the power of positive thinking is not just an idea – that it has obvious physical effects. This test requires a partner. Instructions: l. Your partner faces you with one arm at the side of the body and the other arm raised out

until it is at a 90 degree angle to the floor, thumb pointing to the floor. 2. Place one of your hands just above your partner’s wrist on the extended arm. Place your

other hand on your partner’s opposite shoulder. 3. Instruct your partner to resist as you push down on the extended arm. You are not trying

to force the arm down; you simply need to feel the normal level of resistance. Push with a steady pressure for several seconds; then release.

4. Keeping the same position, arm extended, your partner should think of something sad or

someone disliked. Allow a few seconds for focusing on the thought. Then push down on the extended arm. It will usually go down easily, though your partner resists.

5. Wait a few seconds, then tell you partner to resume the position while thinking of

something gratifying or someone well liked. Again, allow a few seconds for focusing on that image, then push down on the arm. The arm will usually stay level and strong, even if you push harder than before.

SWITCHED-ON SELLING RESEARCH REPORTEXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In evaluating any sales training seminar, there is only one question that really matters: At thebottom line, how effective is it? Does the seminar result in sales-people changing what they aredoing? Does it change how they are doing it? Does it result in an increase in sales and does thesalesperson's self-perception change? We now have the answers for the Switched-On Selling Seminar (SOS) and the strength ofthe positive results is impressive. The overall results show a dramatic increase in theparticipant's attitudes at the completion of the seminar. The improvements were measured amonth later and increased even further. The SOS Seminar is revolutionary because it is not a sales technique seminar. We do notteach a single sales technique during the entire day. Instead the seminar focuses on re-wiring thecircuitry of the brain. We accomplish this by using a technology called Kinesiology or musclechecking to determine the areas of the selling process causing stress in the brain. Next we use simple movement exercises called Brain Gyms® to rewire the brain from afear/survival focus which occurs in the back of the brain and is triggered by past experience to apresent-time/choice focus which occurs in the front of the brain. This allows the brain to beopen and prepared to adapt to opportunities and changes. For the analysis we used the data from 374 participant's questionnaires for only their pre- andpost-class results, as these participants did not return their forms for the One Month Lateranalysis. This group gave us the base line measurement. This group was compared with a groupof 61 participants who did return their One Month Later questionnaires. An analysis was doneon all 18 questions. Let’s examine one of the questions – “I Handle Rejection”.
