In Motion Ministries August 2012
It has been a busy summer with four teams on the mission field. Following are some highlights from these trips.
Angoon, Alaska—Our trip included a building pro-
ject, which you see pictured above. We replaced siding on one side and painted the whole exterior of the house. Our hands were also kept busy with children’s min-istry, women’s ministry, food distribution and loving on people at every turn. Also, A baptism in the cold arctic wa-ters proved to be invigorating! We made many new friends and set the stage for future mission trips to An-goon. We expect to start a Bible school in Angoon in the next year, through the Bible School in a Box program by Impact Ministries. We found people hungry to learn, so we will teach them!

Dominican Republic / Haiti—Poverty, like what
most people have never seen. But it is not only the physi-cal poverty that breaks your heart, it is the spiritual pov-erty that is truly destroying people’s lives. This trip was
about taking people by the hand and loving them where they are at and sharing with them that God loves them deeply. Food distribution, puppets, sharing the gospel, spending time caring and pray-ing were all used to share God’s love with those that his team met.
People were born again, healed and bathed in God’s love as this team boldly lived among them. It is re-markable how people respond when you simply take the time to care for them.
Costa Rica—Skate Board Ministry - this was a first for
In Motion Ministries. Skate Church from Denver, CO filled this team with skate boarders who used their tal-ents to share the gospel. Crowds quickly assembled as these boarders did their thing. As the crowds gathered the gospel was preached and people responded. One of our missionary hosts was thrilled, seeing more young people in one place than in his ten years in Costa Rica. Truly, skate boarding proved to be a great ministry tool. We also got our hands dirty moving rock for a re-taining wall and building a portable ramp for the local skate boarders to use after our team left. These physical acts leave a mark that will remind those we ministered to of God’s love that was shared during our visit.

Mission Trips Peru—July 13: The Peru Team is
in Calca, high in the Andes moun-
tains. We did some street outreach
this evening in the local town
square and the team thoroughly
enjoyed ministering to the kids
and adults that stopped to watch. In the morning we will
be taking 150 - 200 blankets to the children, elderly, and
widows in one of the mountain villages. It's a cold night
here and even though our rooms are not heated, we do
have blankets! Always something to be grateful for!
July 19: Such an amazing land....Peru. Beautiful land, beau-
tiful people, beautiful culture. What a privilege to be a part
of what God is doing in this incredible place.
July 26: The team has arrived home safely, tired from an
intense 3 weeks on the mission field; an experience that
they and those they ministered to will never forget.

In Motion Minis-
As we travel the world with our short-term mission teams, we
regularly come across projects that would significantly help
the body of Christ as the work of the Kingdom of God goes
forward. We have decided to start highlighting one project a
month. If you would like to help with projects, you can give
by sending a check in the provided envelope or via PayPal.
August Project Highlight
As of last month our closest missionary host in Costa Rica has
purchased the property that they have been leasing as their
personal housing and short-term mission team housing. It is
now time to add onto the house, to better serve their family
and short-term mission teams, including teams from IMM.
Our director, Seth Dunn, will be traveling to Costa Rica in Sep-
tember to help them begin this building project. We would
like to send money to help with building materials. Our goal is
$20,000.00, but any gift would be useful.
Please consider giving to this project.
