Why are there profiles

only in Google X-ray,

but not in LinkedIn?

Question:

1.

Google shows us both

“TDD” and

“Test Driven Development”

2.

Google shows us

some profiles with

What have we learned?1.LinkedIn searches literally while Google

searches fluidly

2.Google tries to help us by including

synonyms behind the scene

3.When we compose thorough and

comprehensive Boolean strings, LinkedIn

outperforms Google X-ray (at least in this

study)

Case closed?

Not so fast…

The next set of questions

already surfaced

Would a paid LinkedIn account give

us more (and exhaustive) results?

Why did Google fail to find some

profiles?

How much can we rely on Google

to improve our Boolean search

strings?

Questions?
