LUMEN CHRISTI CHILDREN’S CHORUS
The Lumen Christi Children’s Chorus welcomes all children Grades 3 & up for a new season of
music-making! The Chorus sings for weekend liturgies at both parish sites and for special parish & Archdiocesan events. Our first Rehearsal is Thursday November 8th at 4:30 p.m. in Dominiak Hall. For more information, please contact Margaret Caldwell at 262-512-8982, or
[email protected] SCHOOL WEBSITE IMPROVEMENTS COMING The School Board Committee - Communications team has been working on a streamlined organization of the school website, and we're getting ready to launch. The main change will be
that the content will be organized based on the primary audiences of our website - - Current Families, Prospective Families, and Students. For example, if you selected "Current Family", you would see a list of all of the areas that you need, including the lunch menu, the Thursday
folder, etc. In other words, it would be list of shortcuts for the information you use. The first phase of these changes is targeted to be ready by the end of 1st quarter. Over the
next two weeks, you will notice "extra" options on the website as we add the new and keep the old until all of the new has been added. We also have a plan to enhance some of the content on the website; for example, to make sure all of our extracurricular activities are listed and
explained. The enhanced content will be built out over the next several months. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kim Althaus at [email protected], or
any member of the Communications Committee.
CONFERENCE BABYSITTING Once again, the Girls Scouts of Lumen Christi will be providing babysitting during conferences on November 1 and 2. Babysitting will be in the 3K room and staffed by girls and
adults. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign your child in, no reservation is needed. We will also be collecting canned goods for Family Sharing of Ozaukee County for Thanksgiving. The 8th grade Girl Scouts will be carrying on the tradition of selling Brownie
mixes; great for holiday gifts or a treat for yourself! The mix will sell for $10.00, cash or check.
DIVINE SAVIOR HOLY ANGELS HIGH SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAM
Any eighth grader interested in applying to DSHA must take the entrance exam on Friday, November 2 or Saturday, November 3 either at DSHA or at another Milwaukee-area Catholic high school. The DSHA entrance exam will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Late arrivals
cannot take the exam. Girls can be dropped off at the Main Entrance and parents and guardians interested in talking with Principal Dan Quesnell are invited to stay for an
informational coffee starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday's coffee will take place in the library. Saturday's coffee will take place in the Quad.
Pre-registration is only required for the Saturday, November 3 entrance exam. There is a $10 testing fee for each student and all students should bring two (#2) pencils for the exam and a scientific calculator. Finally, the application deadline is Friday, November 9.
MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAM Friday, November 2

MEQUON VB CLUB TRYOUTS Tryouts will be Sunday, November 4th at the Homestead High School Field House from 1:00-2:00 pm. This is for GIRL’S interested in practicing volleyball and competing at a higher level than our instructional Bump and Jump program.
At this time, tryouts are ONLY for GIRL’S that meet the age criteria of 12 and under division: players who were born on or after September 1, 2000 (6th graders for most but 5th graders can play up). Go to www.mequonvb.com for more information.
