the basic study in learning a foreign language, especially for young

language before they have to learn four skills such as: Reading, Speaking,

Writing, and Listening.

This study was designed to improve the students’ vocabulary by

using MimingGame. The method was selected because it was believed to

be effective in making the students active and enthusiastic in learning

English.

The research design of this study was classroom action research

(CAR).The classroom action research was conducted in second semester

the vocabulary more easily both in-groups and individually. The students’

motivativation and enthusiasm were higher when the game was used in

teaching learning process and those game could make the students focused

their attention on the instructions given by the researcher.

From all of the process in cycle 1 from meeting 1 until meeting 3,

tothe next cycle or cycle 2. In cycle 2 all of students from fourth grade of

ABSTRAK

Jamalina. NIM 2813123089. 2016. Meningkatkan Kosakata Siswa dengan

Menggunakan Miming Game di kelas IV MI Baiturrohman

Suwaluh Tahun Akademik 2015-2016. Sarjana tesis.

Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Fakultas Tarbiyah dan

Pelatihan Guru. Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN)

Tulungagung. Pembimbing: Hj. Ida Isnawati, M.Pd.

bahasa asing sebelum mereka belajar empat keterampilan seperti:

Page 12: IMPROVING STUDENTS VOCABULARY BY USING MIMING … · your joke. My beloved advisor Hj. Ida Isnawati, M.Pd. who has guided and helped me to finish my thesis. And all of my ... Pelatihan

xii
