ardo.ch AG was established in November 1999 as auktion24.ch in Baar (Zug), Switzerland. Since 2008, it has been a part of the ricardo Group. Presently, its two million members trade goods worth over CHF 660 million annually, turning ricardo.ch into Switzerland’s largest online marketplace. On average, members sell 20,000 items daily. The ricardo.ch site handles 700,000 offers (auctioned and fi xed price), about 100,000 vehicles and 35,000 vehicular accessories on the autoricardo.ch platform, and over 2.5 million brand name articles via ricardoshops.ch.
ricardo.ch employs 140 persons in Zug, including a host of eCommerce specialists and customer service representatives.

The customerricardo.ch AG encompasses the online marketplaces
ricardo.ch, autoricardo.ch, ricardo-shops.ch, and OLX.
ricardo.ch AG selected ec4u expert consulting ag to
integrate the Salesforce Sales Cloud®. Before the
data warehouse was expanded with salesforce.com®,
marketing and sales staff had to specify the information
stored on key accounts at different points in the system.
Through this approach, sales is only one click away from
delivering sales reports to company management – on
the weekly status, current forecasts, or success in sales
territories. Ultimately, customers receive more relevant
service, which leads to more effi cient collaboration
between ricardo.ch and its power sellers.
Furthermore, there was dire need to set up an effi cient
system for maps & travel directions: for its sales and
service at automotive workshop proprietors, the fi eld
salesforce® was typically confronted with poorly
planned, lengthy, and ineffi cient routes. ec4u executed
this task in the form of an app that not only enabled
planning of travel routes in advance, but also replaced a
typical GPS. This app is very quick and easy to use, even
after unexpected changes in appointments.
