Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company through its skill development endeavor, TPSDI (Tata Power Skill Development Institute) continually undertakes activities that up lifts the economic conditions of people especially youth living in and around its operational areas. Reiterating its commitment on National Youth Day, the institute has successfully managed to train more than 11,000 youth across the nation. TPSDI has set up four training hubs in four locations in the country leveraging the facilities of Tata Power which includes Shahad - Mumbai, Maharashtra, Trombay - Mumbai, Maharashtra, Maithon - Dhanbad, Jharkhand and Mundra - Kutch, Gujarat.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Anil Sardana, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power, said, “TPSDI was set
up with an endeavor to provide training for youths towards employability and we are delighted to see the
progress in this very short time. Skill development is an essential ingredient for India's future economic growth
as the country transforms itself into an internationally competitive economy. On National Youth Day, it is our
commitment to work in line with Prime Minister’s vision to equip youth with relevant employable skills and
make India the skill capital of the world”.

Day, successfully managed to train more than 11,000 youth across the nation. TPSDI has set up four training

approach.

TPSDI was launched on 9th Feb, 2015 as part of Tata Power's Centenary Year celebrations. TPSDI delivers its courses through a
combination of Instructor-led delivery and IT enabled platforms like e-Learning, online videos, etc. The skill development courses
offered are not for profit and the fee structure is very nominal. The social priority area for enrolment for training are given to BPL, SC
and ST and other minorities.
