That during this Advent season we may see and recognize the face of God in the other, Let us pray to the Lord. That we may want to see the face of God in all people, but especially in our immigrant brothers and sisters and those in need, Let us pray to the Lord. That we may be watchful and alert in finding ways to welcome the stranger among us, Let us pray to the Lord. That we may follow our Faithful God in building community and fellowship with all of our brothers and sisters in our parish, in our neighborhood, and in our country, Let us pray to the Lord. That all immigrants and those recovering from natural disasters, may receive God’s light and strength, Let us pray to the Lord. That the unaccompanied children may receive the hospitality and help that they need, Let us pray to the Lord. That all who have been elected to government leadership may work for the good of the vulnerable and treat all people as their brothers and sisters, Let us pray to the Lord. www.catholicsandimmigrants.org

For comfort to God’s people especially immigrant families and children who have come here to escape

poverty, gangs and violence, Let us pray to the Lord. For respect and care for all our immigrant brothers and sisters so that we, Christians, may make a high-

way for our God during this Advent Season, Let us pray to the Lord. For our civil leaders, that they may be shepherds who feed their flocks and lead them with care, Let us pray to the Lord. For the people of God, that they may prepare the way of the Lord for all people with love and care, Let us pray to the Lord For our government leaders, that they may oppose any expansion to the family detention system, Let us pray to the Lord. For all those who stand in solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters working for a comprehen-

sive immigration reform, Let us pray to the Lord.

For Mothers, especially those who in hope-filled desperation, send their children to the USA for food,

safety and compassionate care, Let us pray to the Lord. For a compassionate response for the many children and families that are affected by our immigration

system, Let us pray to the Lord. For all those who have come to this country seeking freedom and care for their families so that we may

welcome them in a hospitable way, Let us pray to the Lord That our parishes may follow Our Lady in responding to the needy and the vulnerable, Let us pray to the Lord.

That the Spirit of God may help all of us to send “glad tiding to the poor” especially to our immigrant

brothers and sisters, Let us pray to the Lord, That the Spirit of God will guide legislation that will heal the brokenness of immigrant families caused

by our deportation policies, Let us pray to the Lord. That immigrants with non-criminal offenses may be released from detention so they may care for their

families, Let us pray to the Lord. That we endeavor to make our immigration system just and fair through legislation, Let us pray to the Lord. That our immigration laws may retain what is good and refrain from every kind of evil, Let us pray to the Lord. That we “make straight the way of the Lord” through our efforts to be sisters and brothers to all in the

human family, Let us pray to the Lord. That we may give witness to the light, by our way of responding to Immigrants and others, Let us pray to the Lord.

That we may walk in solidarity and respect with all those different from us, Let us pray to the Lord. That the Holy Spirit may overshadow each of us in our efforts to be welcoming and caring for those in

need in our society, Let us pray to the Lord. That we may have the faith that “nothing will be impossible for God”, in our efforts for compassionate

and comprehensive immigration reform, Let us pray to the Lord. That all judges may act with integrity, justice, and compassion in their judgments especially for immi-

grants who do not have legal advice, Let us pray to the Lord That Christians may help the undocumented and refugees in their efforts to take care of their families, Let us pray to the Lord. That during this Advent Season we may open our hearts, our love, and our doors to bring down the

walls of hate and walls of steel that separate us, Let us pray to the Lord. That as the Holy Family experienced closed doors in Bethlehem except for a stable, may we be hospita-

ble and welcoming to those who knock at our doors, Let us pray to the Lord.
