1:30 - 1:50 P.M. Fr. Joseph Mary Brown

2:00 - 2:45 P.M. Mary Ellen Barrett

An atmosphere of love, learning, and levity can change the whole game in your homeschool. Mary Ellen will share tips on how to create an atmosphere that encourages discipline, enjoyment, love of faith and family, in which the children will come to love learning.

4:00 - 4:20 P.M. Melissa Savage

Navigating the world of homeschooling can be tough if you don’t have a partner to help you through it. We can easily get discouraged if we feel alone. How can you find your battle buddy? How is the relationship supposed to work? How can you find buddies for your children?

4:30 - 4:50 P.M. Dr. Catherine Moran What causes teacher burnout and how to avoid it is something every homeschooling mom needs to know. 10:00 - 10:45 A.M. Fr. Joseph Mary Brown

Jesus Christ has commanded us to love one another as He loves us. How do I incarnate this commandment of love in my family life, workplace, and everyday activities? What does it mean to love as Jesus loves? These and other questions on fraternal charity in the home and the world will be addressed.

11:00 - 11:45 A.M. Dr. Ray Guarendi

Anyone who works with children today is having his confidence, peace of mind, and authority undercut by widespread myths of “experts” and the media. Dr. Ray identifies several of the most pervasive of these myths, and helps moms and dads realize they are better parents and teachers than they might think.

1:30 - 1:50 P.M. Mary Ellen Barrett

Most young children are not wired to sit still and bring a great deal of thought to school work; they would really rather be tearing around the house and the yard, and would be happy to never crack open a book. Mrs. Barrett will give some tips on how to use your child’s learning style to contain the fidgets and get the work done peacefully.

2:00 - 2:20 P.M. Melissa Savage

Taking on new projects and volunteering can be great, but we always need to keep in mind that our time and energy are precious. As homeschooling parents, our families have a prior claim. Are you wearing too many hats? How can we get everything done that is important to us?

2:30 - 3:15 P.M. Dr. Ray Guarendi Are you angry? Why? How does your anger impact the other members of your family? Dr. Ray cuts through the psychobabble to present a realistic picture of anger and other emotional issues, and then offers practical solutions for overcoming them.
