    LOCA] ION.TIE-T6!T-c1ub is Lake Wellington Yacht Club fnc.(LWYC) which issituated ar IIarlay Point on the western shore of Lake lrlellington.Lake Wellington is part of the Gippsland Lakes system and isroughly oval in shape, about l0 nautical m11es west to east, and6 miles north to south. WaEer is brackish, the lake being fed bytwo rivers but connecLed, via other 1akes, to the sea. There isno significant tidal novement. The surrounding shores are inost-1y scrub or open country with only low hi11s so wind is 1ittleaffected. Sea breezes from the east are common in summer.The nearest towns are Sale (24km), and Stratford (24km). Bothare located on Highway 1.THE YACHT CLUB.ffiisatwostoreyl'Allframebui1dinesituatedonthe foreshore. There is a sheltered double famp and a jetty.If you wish, boats can be left aL anchor, protected by the break-waLer. The entire course area can be viewed from the largeclubhouse balcony, or from the extensive grassed area on thef oreshore.ACCOI'Il\IODATION .'l'lre yaclrL club owns 3ha. of land adjacent to the clubhouse andthis may be used by RL24 crews for camping.
