Images I have not used
As I have taken original images – image’s taken by myself I made sure I took a number of pictures to capture what I want to portray and that I have plenty of
options to choose from. I narrowed it down to a selection which I will consider to use, however, I can not use all the images and I can not use specific images as
the model may not be completely visible or the angle of the image isn’t the convention of how an image should be. I have enclosed a selection of images
which I have not used within the magazine.

This image is central which is expected for a front cover image, however, she is looking away from the camera. The colours match the colour scheme and it would be more useful for a double
page spread.
Here, the image clearly shows just with the microphone that it could be from a music
magazine, which allows the audience to indicate the style of the magazine I am conveying
immediately, however, again she is looking away from the camera, and the lighting is slightly dark.
The hand stands out, as it is in front, showing her dominance and empowerment
of the female society, allowing my target audience of women want to buy the
magazine as it makes them feel superior too. However, we cannot see her eyes as
they are covered up.
I couldn’t use this photo as she looks too far away from the camera and it isn’t a fully clear picture, if I wanted to use the whole image. Also, you can see that she is looking
directly at the camera instead of just slightly next to it.
This is a useful image, as she is looking at the camera, her body language shows
attitude, which stereotypically you would expect to see on a music magazine. Her
costume relates to the music theme R&B/30’s which the waist coat, also relating to today’s society popular fashion. However, I didn’t want a typical music magazine style image, to make it different and unique for the audience, therefore, I did not choose
this image.
This image would be good as a front cover as it is different and with the whole 60’s look it is giving the magazine a different vibe from a normal music magazine, which in today’s
society is mostly ‘indie’ based. However, I chose not to use this as most magazine cover-stars are the main article within the magazine and as she
isn’t my main story, I decided against it and maintain with the conventions of a magazine.
This image would be ideal for a double page spread article If I had more time to create another article I would use this as one of the images within it. Again, with the costume it has that 50’s-60’s feel,
with the reds and whites, pale skin, red ribbon, gives it a unique personality ,
making it different and eye-catching this image is becoming popular again.
This image has no natural light in it, it is too dark to work with, too dark to see the actual image properly, and wouldn’t be acceptable within a
magazine. It was to have been taken in the day it would be a useful article picture.
