The West Valley office located in Dundee was closed at the end of March and the agents transferred their desks to the Suburban SW office. We still wanted to keep a presence in Yamhill County, however, so a new drop in center has been leased in Newberg.

West Valley agents will have a key card to access the unstaffed office and will be able to meet with clients and have access to a printer/copier/scanner.

Carolyn Green, who has been the manager of the West Hills branch since January 1998, will transition to a new role for the company as Resource Coordinator beginning July 1.

Carolyn’s new role will give her more personal time to enjoy with her husband and pets while still allowing her to stay connected to the real estate industry she has so faithfully served since 1979. In her new role at the company, she will do Advanced Training classes as well as help coordinate events at the branches.

Mike Vuylsteke will be the new branch manager for the West Hills office. Mike had previously managed our Hillsboro office from 1999-2010 and then returned to sales for a few years before joining our management team again as Director of our Business School. He will continue to direct the Business School in addition to managing the West Hills office.

We are excited about the new opportunities these changes bring to our offices and agents and for Carolyn and Mike.

New Hall of Of Fame Recipients

Congratulations to Nancy Rasmussen of the Suburban SW office, Tim Saeland of the West Hills office, and Michael Wolfington of the Suburban SW office on their recent qualification for the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award! The RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award honors successful agents who have earned more than $1 million in commissions during their careers with the RE/MAX network.

Look Who Has A New Grandson!

Lyn Schubel of the Vancouver Mall office welcomed his first grandson on May 20. Charlie William Schubel was born to Scott and Stacey Schubel weighing 8 lbs 10 oz. He was 22 inches. Charlie means the Schubel names lives on and with Grandpa as well as Uncle Kevin Schubel (also of the Vancouver Mall office) to show him the ropes perhaps we will be welcoming a new Realtor someday!

The Canby office threw a baby shower for Leilani Collier who is due to deliver in mid-June. Congratulations Leilani and we can’t wait to see you with your new bundle of joy!

There was more cake at the Canby office as the office helped Susan Hull celebrate her birthday!

Congratulations to Sarah Yates, age 18, daughter of Gresham’s Steve Yates, on receiving an East Metro Association of Realtors Scholarship for $1500! Sarah plans to attend Concordia University of Portland in the fall to study nursing. She will be graduating from Sam Barlow High School in June. We know Steve is one proud papa! Way to go Sarah!
