Dal 29 Agosto all’8 settembre, il liquore icona dello stile italiano del bere, ha partecipato all’evento più glamour dell’anno con la Disaronno Contemporary Terrace, posizionata sul Red Carpet del Festival, di fronte al Palazzo del Cinema. Uno spazio in continuo fermento che ha ospitato aperitivi, vip party, foto shooting e riprese TV, dove le star del cinema internazionale hanno potuto deliziare i propri palati con l’ampia proposta di cocktail firmati Disaronno. Disaronno made a big splash at the 69th Venice Film Festival, so creating an ever closer bond with the world of cinema. From August 29th to September 8th, the iconic liqueur of the Italian style of drinking fine spirits took part in the most star-studded event of the year with a new edition of the Disaronno Contemporary Ter-race. Set up on the Red Carpet opposite the Cinema Palace, it’s where the brand hosted an electrifying flow of events-from happy hours to VIP parties to photo and TV shoots-and where an international array of movie actors had fun trying all the different Disaronno cocktails. The various activities attracted the many celebs present at the Venice Lido, including lovely festival patroness Kasia Smutniak, Robert Redford, Pierce Brosnan, Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, Michael Shannon, Kim-Ki-Duk, Joaquin Phoenix, William Dafoe, Pierfrancesco Favino, Violante Placido, Daniele Cipri, Toni Servillo, Valerio Mastrandea and lots of others… Meanwhile, official Disaronno blogger Gala Gonzalez made sure that fans were kept in the know about all the glamorous goings-on. Era il più atteso ed è stato il più acclamato. Robert Redford, per la prima volta alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, ha scelto di essere presente alla Disaronno Contemporary Terrace per presentare “The Company You Keep” il film di cui è al contempo regista e protagonista.Nel cast anche Susan Sarandon, Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Jackie Evancho, Brendan Gleeson e Terrence Howard.

Tratto dal romanzo di Neal Gordon, la pellicola ha come protagonista Jim Grant (Redford), avvocato per i diritti civili, messo sotto torchio da un giovane ed ambizioso giornalista (LaBeouf) che rende pubblica la sua vera identità, smascherandolo come ex militante di Weather Underground, latitante e ricercato per un omicidio avvenuto negli anni 70. Ha così inizio una caccia all’uomo e Grant non ha altra scelta che intraprendere un viaggio attraverso il Paese per tentare di provare la propria innocenza.

Giunto al Lido in jeans, giacca, coppola bianca e occhiali da sole, Redford non si è concesso alla folla di fan scatenate, preferendo farsi guardare da lontano. Ha rilasciato solo alcune interviste ai giornalisti durante la conferenza di presentazione del suo film e, insieme al collega Shia LaBeouf ha partecipato all’incontro di Disaranno Famosi, approfondendo il tema del confronto generazionale tra i due prota-gonisti del film. “Credo che sia possibile raccontare nei film una storia e attraverso questa esprimere un’opinione che lasci libero il pubblico di farsi un’idea. È per questo che quasi tutti i miei film da regista si chiudono con un punto interrogativo. Voglio che il pubblico rifletta e decida da sé quale finale imma-ginare”, ha dichiarato Redford durante l’incontro.

Nella toccata e fuga veneziana, l’attore che ha fatto sognare generazioni di donne quando “ballava a piedi nudi nel parco” con Jane Fonda o ci ricordava “Come eravamo” con la Streisand, ha voluto conce-dersi insieme alla moglie, una blindatissima cena alla Disaronno Contemporary Terrace in compagnia dello staff e del Management di Disaronno.

The most eagerly awaited and acclaimed person around, Robert Redford-making an appearance at the Venice Film Festival for the first time ever-chose to honour the Disaronno Contemporary Terrace with his presence for the premiere of the movie “The Company You Keep” which he both directed and starred in.The cast also includes Susan Sarandon, Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Jackie Evancho, Brendan Gleeson and Terrence Howard.Based on the eponymous novel by Neal Gordon, the picture features Redford in the role of Jim Grant, a civil rights lawyer put through the wringer by a young and ambitious reporter (LaBeouf) who makes public Grant’s true identity as a former Weather Underground radical and murder suspect running from the law since the ‘70s. As the manhunt begins, he has no other choice than to embark on a cross-country journey in a desperate attempt to prove his innocence. Showing up at the Venice Lido in jeans, jacket, white cap and shades, Redford preferred not to mingle with the crowd of fans. Rather, he answered questions during the press conference for the presentation of his film and, along with co-star Shia LaBeouf, talked about the generational differences between the two main characters at one of the Disaranno Famosi master classes. “I think that in telling a story on screen the director can express a view that leaves the audience free to form an independent opinion. That’s why nearly all of the movies I have directed end with a question mark. I want the people in the audience to reflect and decide for themselves how the story might end,” Redford explained during the class.While in Venice briefly, the actor who early in his long and magnificent career captivated millions of women across the globe in “Barefoot in the Park” with Jane Fonda and “The Way We Were” with Barbra Streisand took the time-charming wife at his side-to join the Disaronno management and staff for an ultra exclusive dinner party at the Disaronno Contemporary Terrace.

Oltre a Michael Shannon, la cui monu-mentale interpretazione del protagonista rappresenta uno dei picchi più alti di questa edizione del Festival, presenti alla Disaronno Contemporary Terrace anche gli altri attori del cast stellare, la bellissima Winona Ryder, l’intenso Ray Liotta e l’idolo delle giovanissime James Franco.

La serata dedicata alla casa di produzione “Fandango”, che ha presen-tato al Festival la pellicola di Daniele Ciprì “È stato il Figlio”, ha visto la partecipazione del cast completo, capitanato da un incontenibile Tony Servillo. La pellicola che racconta la storia della famiglia Ciraulo, rappre-senta alla perfezione una tragedia familiare all’interno di una realtà grottesca.

In tutte le serate esclusive che hanno avuto luogo sul Red Carpet, alla Disaronno Contemporary Terrrace, gli ospiti hanno potuto assaggiare il nuovo, esclusivo cocktail Disaronno Golden Lion*, creato appositamente per il Festival del Cinema di Venezia.

An impressive lineup of stars came to the Disaronnno Contemporary Terrace for the parties thrown in honour of the film “The Iceman” and the “Fandango” production company.The first of the two VIP events toasted the world premiere of the movie that tells the true story of Richard Kuklinski, a professional killer with an amazing knack for throwing off the investigators by freezing his bodies. In addition to actor Michael Shannon, whose monumental portrayal of the real-life iceman represented one of the highlights of the 69th Festival, there on the scene were three other members of the film’s all-star cast: beautiful Winona Ryder, intense Ray Liotta and the teen idol James Franco.As for the bash celebrating Fandango-in Venice to present Daniele Ciprì’s “È stato il figlio”-it featured the participation of everyone in the cast captained majestically by Tony Servillo. In telling the tale of the Ci-raulo family, the movie shows perfectly on screen how a grotesque reality leads all too easily to tragedy. At each of the festive gatherings hosted on the Red Carpet by Disaronno Contemporary Terrrace the guests had the chance to taste and enjoy the exclusive new Disaronno Golden Lion* cocktail created expressly for the Venice Film Festival.

Party glamour, flash incessanti e un avvicendamento continuo di star internazionali, ma non solo. La Disaronno Contemporary Terrace ha ospitato una delle iniziative più interessanti di questa edizione del Festival del Cinema di Venezia, la “Disaranno Famosi-Storie dal futuro”. Una serie di appassionanti con-versazioni dedicate al cinema di domani che hanno visto in prima linea star italiane e internazionali.

“Disaranno Famosi-Storie dal futuro”, organizzata e promossa da Disaronno insieme a Piera Detassis, direttore del mensile CIAK, e a Variety, ha riscosso un successo senza precedenti, grazie agli interventi di personaggi del cinema italiano e dello star system mondiale accomunati da una spiccata vocazione al cambiamento, alla sperimentazione e all’innovazione. Tra gli italiani hanno brillato Michele Riondino, a Venezia con il film “Acciaio” di Stefano Mordini e “Bella addormentata” di Marco Bellocchio, nonché padrino del concorso Zucca Spirito Noir, Filippo Scicchitano, noto al grande pubblico per il premia-tissimo “Scialla!”, in concorso al Lido con la commedia “Un giorno speciale” diretta da Francesca Comencini e il duo artistico-produttivo formato dal regista e sceneggiatore Ivan Cotroneo e dalla produttrice Francesca Cima.

Oltre al regista Oliviero Assays, gli appuntamenti di Disaranno Famosi hanno visto la partecipazione straordinaria di ospiti internazionali del calibro di Robert Redford, che insieme a Shia LaBeouf ha presentato il suo film fuori concorso “The Company you Keep” e del regista sudcoreano Kim Ki-Duk vincitore del Festival con il film Pietà. Per quest’ultimo “Disaranno Famosi-Storie dal futuro” si è rivelato una sorta di talismano portafortuna.

Kim Ki-Duk aveva infatti chiuso l’incontro intonando il tradizionale canto tantrico sudcoreano “Arirang” che, oltre a emozionare tutti i presenti, si è dimostrato anche di buon auspicio, visto che in seguito lo ha ricantato sul palco dove è stato premiato.

Not only glam parties, popping flashbulbs and a steady stream of international stars. The Disaronno Contemporary Terrace also hosted one of the most interesting initiatives marking the 69th Venice Film Festival: Disaranno Famosi-Storie dal futuro (Fame-Stories from the Future), a fascinating series of master classes where major movie industry personalities, Italian and non, talked about the cinema of tomorrow.

Organized and promoted by Disaronno jointly with Piera Detassis, editor in chief of CIAK (Italy’s popular film mag) and with Variety, Disaranno Famosi-Storie dal futuro won rave reviews thanks to the partici-pation of prominent figures in Italian and global filmmaking who share a keen propensity for innovation, experimentation and change. The Italians who made a star appearance were: Michele Riondino, actor who plays the lead in two films shown in Venice (Stefano Mordini’s “Acciaio” and Marco Bellocchio’s “Bella addormentata”), as well as patron of the Zucca Spirito Noir contest; Filippo Scicchitano, young talent on the Italian acting scene who shot to fame in the award-winning “Scialla!” and who came to the Lido this year for his role in Francesca Comencini’s “Un giorno speciale” (comedy in competition); Ivan Cotroneo and Francesca Cima, respectively director/screenwriter and producer who always work together. As for big international names, beyond French director Olivier Assayas and South Korean director Kim Ki-Duk, the list included Robert Redford who along with Shia LaBeouf arrived in Venice to present his “The Company You Keep” (not in competition).Kim Ki-Duk went on to win the 2012 Golden Lion for his film “Compassion,” so in his case Disaranno Famosi proved to be a good luck charm. The director had in fact concluded the master class with a touching rendition of the traditional South Korean tantric song “Arirang”-the same he graciously intoned after ac-cepting the Festival’s top prize.
