Departure with United Airlines/Lufthansa, flight 8865 to leave at 15:25 non-stop to Frankfurt
Be at the airport three hours earlier, i.e. beginning at noon, meet in the main lobby in front of the Lufthansa counter.Check-in together. Fr. Bernard has plane tickets.
Arrival at Frankfurt at 8:10 on June 24, change planes, take Lufthansa flight #9072 at 9:05
Short change-over time. Luggage will be checked through to Budapest
Arrival at Ferihegy Airport at 10:35Gábor will be waiting for us with a sign “Cistercian” to help us to our bus taking us to Medosz Hotel.
Check-in, lunch, afternoon: getting acquainted with neighborhood.
June 25, First night in Budapest
Some exploration of the city in groups, return for common meal.Try to get over the jet-lag.
June 25, BudapestVisit the city on foot, lunch, continue the visit.
Obtain bus and metro tickets, city-map and explore the city further.

June 26, Sunday: Eger, BélapátfalvaAfter breakfast on to Northeastern Hungary to visit famous fort that defended against the Turks, Bélapátfalva (ancient Cistercian abbey)
June 27, Budapest, Szentendre, Esztergom
Leave early (7:00 a.m.) for Szentendre, Esztergom, with visit to Card. Mindszenty’s tomb, castle museum, depart for Fr. Bernard’s family village in Gelle (Slovakia)
June 28, Bratislava, Vienna
A ride of about 30 miles to the capital of Slovakia, visit for about 3 hours, lunch then depart for Vienna
Visit the city first by bus, then on foot – possibly meet with Mrs. Haaser’s brother living in Vienna.Dinner at the hotel
June 29, Vienna-Mauthausen-Salzburg-Stams
Traveling west, visiting Austrian Concentration Camp of Mauthausen, on to Stams (Cistercian Monastery) via Salzburg.Dinner and night in Stams
June 30, Stams-Innsbruck-Florence
