Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is the

youngest IIM among the newly established IIMs in the

country. The institute under the mentorship of IIM

Lucknow is growing by leaps and bound in all possible

aspects such as number of students, faculty,

Currently, the institute offers a Two-year Full Time Post-

Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) which drills

The Academic Committee is the student

community's voice in all the matters

pertaining to academics. It acts a mediator

between the students and the faculty. The

c o m m i t t e e p r o v i d e s v a l u a b l e

The social responsibility cell of IIM Jammu lays its emphasis

on the continuous amelioration of the society. Our vision is to

Guide to Summer Placements 2017-19The exact dates will be communicated when finalized. The organizations can start inviting applications any time after the conducting Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) and/or confirmation of participation in the Summer Placement Process. The details of the job offer such as profile, stipend and location must be provided before applications are invited. Consequently, an invitation letter will be mailed to the organization confirming the date and time when the Selection Process will take place. The organization is required to communicate the detailed process requirements (number of selection rounds, panels, and process specific requirements) at least 2 days prior to the placement process.

A Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain deeper knowledge about the prospective employers. It allows an organization to take a first-hand look at the institute and the existing talent pool. The representatives get a chance to spend some quality time with the students and the faculty. The PPTs are scheduled to suit the convenience of the organization without affecting the PGPM schedule.

Pre-Placement offers are made by the organization to candidates who have completed a 2-month summer internship with them. The exact policy regarding PPOs is subject to the discretion of the placement committee and should be confirmed with them.

To make an offer, the organization representative will have to fill-up the job offer form that will be made available on campus. An offer is considered valid only when this form, duly filled in by the representative, is handed over to the recruitment co-ordinator of the institute.
